I also eat treats like ice cream and cookies, since as long as they're within the calories/fat/sodium/protein guidelines, they're ok.
Mocha, I do the same thing! I know I have to otherwise, "game over" for me on the diet!

Thank goodness they are!!! We just need to stay away from the more gourmet kind like shitakes, etc... I’m hoping portobellos aren’t considered “gourmet” b/c they’ve been a staple in my diet this past week!

I think you’re doing a great job w/your diet! It gets easier to prolong eating the longer you’re on the diet!

Yeah, I can do it so far just fine while at home all day but at work (I'm in work tomorrow) it will be challenging. ESPECIALLY this time a year when people are constantly bringing in cakes, snacks, chocolate, etcetera! I wake up so early to get to work and then my lunch break is so late that it is going to be crazy-difficult. :/ Tomorrow should be interesting indeed.

Today I've had 1 cup of coffee with 1% unsweetened soy milk... and 1 advent calendar chocolate. Ha! It's 4pm! :x Time for some 0% yogurt, eh?

    • Sautéed leeks, portobellos and white basmati
    • 1 package of Trader Joe’s Seaweed Snack (again omitting the "oops" smiley as my sins are much worse later in the day...
    • 1 fuji apple

    • Salad
    • Smoothie (coconut water, frozen raspberries, psyllium husks)
    • 6 bites (6 BITES!!!) of DH’s PESTO Primavera ( …I did not make this intending to eat it so it was definitely not girl sway friendly! I’m not Catholic but I really need a confessional right now and I can’t help blurting out, “Bless me Father, for I have sinned….
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    • 2 chocolate mint candy canes
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Throughout the day, 3 C. peppermint tea, 1 C. RRL tea

    Mmmm... pesto....

Jen - you're so funny. Here I was expecting you to say you ate half a pizza or a hamburger or something and the best cheat you could come up with was pesto primavera??? I eat pesto all the time - I know the garlic isn't a great idea on the garlic, but come on - you ate a vegetarian meal with perhaps a little more salt and fat than you would normally have, but you only had 6 bites, so I'm sure it made no difference.

You want a cheat?? I'll give you a cheat. When af finally arrives, I'm drowning my sorrows in a deep fried panzerotto. Now THAT's a cheat.....

Oh, and I'd love to try those seaweed snacks if you're serious. Anything I can send you in return? I'll pm you my address.

Okay, continuation of my confessional, Mocha...They were BIG bites (we're talking massive, !) and there was so much fat, protein and cals in there! And then there was the garlic but who cares about that really when I blew it w/everything else, . OMG...I loooove your cheats...fried panzerotto!!! I think I want to cry...I really want that now! When AF comes, I always make the 1st and sometimes the 2nd day a cheat day; I always have and I always will!

Seaweed will be shipped on Monday!!! Don't worry about me...Just send me a Christmas card if you send those out!

BTW - they have wasabi flavored seaweed but I've never tried it. Want some of that flavor too?
