Mocha, ditto on everything rainbow said...it's just so hard to tell w/this cycle for you. FWIW, I've done temping tests a few times b/c I was curious; I would wake up, take my temp, go pee, jump back in bed for an hr(ish), take my temp again and it would be either the exact same temp or something very close. Read into that what you will. Also, as you know, I'm still hopeful for you...

Rainbow, it would be awesome of you to join us!!
Mocha, your body is giving you confusing signs! The bleeding but then the temp being up....confusing, imo! Hang in there, sweetie!
Jamie, I would be pissed too! My husband likes to play his stupid xbox game "modern warfare 3" and sometimes he carries on his headset and laughs like he's a 20 yer old with nothing better to do. I'm like really? you're a grown 33 year old man with two kids! /hugs, vent away, that's what we're here for! to support and love each other!

rainbowflower: I agree with Jen - if you feel good about having an attempt after only 3 weeks on the diet, go for it! It's nice to have you back as a swaying companion
My flow is definitely enough for at least a liner - I actually have a proper pad on right now because yesterday I soaked a liner when I had that gush. If it weren't for all this m/c business and the resulting questioning of every sign my body's giving me, I would have put a tampon in yesterday when I had that gush of blood and considered it a light flow and CD1. It's only because I've been spotting contantly and have no idea what's going on that I'm questioning it. I'm also a tampon girl, so I have no idea what a 'light' flow looks like on a pad (sorry if that sounds gross). The pad I've been wearing (a 'regular' thin maxi) has been on for maybe an hour and has definite red blood on it - not drops but a thick red line (soooo sorry for the TMI visual)
My doctor called today to check in on me and wondered why I hadn't booked that follow-up u/s he gave me the requisition for. I explained that I find it emotionally draining to go there and be surrounded by happy pregnant women, so he said he'd look into trying to book me somewhere that doesn't specialize in pregnancies. He also said he could order another blood test for me. I was really hoping to not have another u/s (barring any complications) until I'm pregnant again. Do you think I should follow through and have these tests? Will they be able to tell me anything I don't know already? I'm really sick of being poked and prodded....

Oh, and Jen - I love the idea of temp experiments! I've always wondered myself if getting up in the night changes your temp - like any mom of multiple young children, I'm ALWAYS up several times in the night.

I think if my temp is up again tomorrow I'll use a FRER. I'll be 9dpo, so a BFP wouldn't be unheard of, especially if the spotting that started on 5dpo was IB. I've been scouring charts on FF and also reading symptoms on twoweekwait.com (check out all the BFPs who had lots of spotting/bleeding BFP with Spotting | www.twoweekwait.com) and I'm seeing that it's POSSIBLE, though quite rare to get a BFP with this much blood. I'd be more hopeful if it weren't for the bright red blood. I'm also super cranky today, and just generally feel like I normally do when I have my period. I realised that I'm CD26 today, which is completely within my 'normal' range to get af.

WARNING…THIS POST MAY BE TMI!!!
OMG…Last night during our attempt, DS1 (3.5 yrs) burst in as DH was just starting to come. AHHHHHHHH!!!!!! We have one of those kid-proof door handles but DH apparently hadn’t latched the door. DS must have heard us (insert noises here, lol), saw the door ajar and then BOOM!!! Poor DH…he couldn’t stop as he was just starting but far enough along he couldn’t do anything about it. DS couldn’t stop looking and started climbing on the bed. AHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! I know this has happened to most of you out there but we never thought it would happen to us last night, especially like that (as DH was just starting to make his deposit). AHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! DH tried to finish up as best as he could and then went into the bathroom. DS kept saying, “Mama, what are you doing?...What was Dada doing?” He knew he’d seen something forbidden and had this big smirk on his face. I think it opened up a whole new world in his head and he was just fixated on all this new stuff he’d seen and wanted to see more of what Mama and Dada did alone in the bedroom, lol.
After DH put him back to bed again, he kept knocking on the door (which was now closed and very much kid-proof) wanting to talk about what happened and asking us to explain it to his turtle puppet. AHHHHHH!!!!!! WTH???? AHHHHHHH!!!!! Finally, he went to bed! Then this morning when I was dropping him off at school, he brought me up to his teacher and started to say, “Last night, Mama…bla, bla, bla…” I couldn’t quite make it out and started to panic. It turns out he was just telling her that last night, I couldn’t find his monkey scarf to wear in the morning. AHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! I really hope he forgets about this otherwise when he’s older, he’ll be saying “I saw Mama and Dada making my sister”, lol. Please tell me he’ll forget about this…!!!Jen+ DH

you ladies are so nice
I've done that too - often I'd get up, BF my DS, and get back in bed and my temp wouldn't have changed. Also it doesn't seem to vary much even if I'm in a light sleep and rolling around. Thirdly it also doesn't seem to change much even if I go downstairs and back up again!
Mocha - how much are private early pregnancy scans where you are? Perhaps you should have this ultrasound now to know what is happening to your retained tissue, to measure your lining thickness (and perhaps to look at your ovaries)
and then book a self-funded early scan when you do get your BFP anyway?
