Oh, no need if you were using BC and have good temps. (I never know what people mean when they say "I"m sure I'm not pregnant" - that can mean a lot of different things so just making sure.)
Halfway positive OPK, is negative. If it ain't positive, it ain't positive. Your body can send out little squirts of LH from time to time that the OPK can detect (as you already know) and this is more common with PCOS. But a lot of gals are seeming to get this going on lately, even without PCOS, so it may be just one of those weird things.

I wonder if its some of the supps we are taking? Im taking saw palmetto, asprin, b6 and zinc every couple of days. My tests have always been a very slight faded line, no fade in, and then a very strong positive the day before or day of ovulation, but this cycle there has been a line that is half as strong as the test line-I presumed this was a fade in and the positive would happen later but it hasnt.

Still waiting, yawn!!
Ovulation is going to end up in the full moon and on our holiday, bloody typical! Was hoping to ovulate tomorrow at the latest and relax the diet a little for our weekend away but looking highly unlikely now. Blimmin typical. However, the plus side to this late ovulation means my due date would be 1st September onwards, which means he/she if they arrived then or after, wouldnt go to school till they turn 5 instead of just as they turn 4, so that would be brilliant. Thats if I conceive this cycle - and if I dont it means I get September to settle my eldest into his first year at school which is also a massive plus!

My DS was a 5 day "cut off" (not intentional but an oops pg), but we BD very late and then I must have O'ed very early (so even though it was 5 CD on my chart it was probably more like 4 days) and I had a LOT of EWCM. I have never heard of anyone having more than a 5 day cut off.

Carmella_Marie -- My DS2 was also conceived 5 days before expected O. He was also an ooops baby, and honestly in my head I thought we were far enough away from O, so didn't think much of it....until end of month when AF didn't show. LOL. I also wonder if I didn't O earlier than expected bec it seems so improbable that the sperm would have survived that long. I also had EWCM, I get it a day or two after AF and I have it for like a week! Probably why I have 2 boys!

iLind, I totally agree. I believe for those of us who are super fertile, we have so much EWCM and our hubbies' sperm are so long lived that we really can DTD 5-7 days out and conceive boys OR girls.
My DS 1 was conceived in almost the exact same circumstance you describe. I had just gotten off AF and it should have been safe!! Even if I Oed early, I couldn't have Oed THAT early!!!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!
