I've heard that as well but both brands I use the instructions say FMU is the best and it's always caught my O for me in the past. But given so many other brands say not to use FMU I will trust the later one.

the clearblue ones are the exception when using FMU
but saying that they only advise to avoid it normally because those with short surges would be more likely to miss the surge that way. If you know you have a long surge there's no harm and may even get better results using FMU (I do)

(October for DS1) and then sapphire would look so neat with it...hehe I'm getting ahead of myself but it'd be sooooo cool if all of us got preggers at end of month / early next month and ended up with gorgeous september bundles of *pink* hopefully!

Also, I really want to hurry up and get a BFP becuz if our late Dec Christmas attempt is a NO, I will be skipping Jan, as I don't want my two kids to share a birth month if possible!
Aurora i have my DS1 with an oct birthday too and my ds2 is in may,so i was soo hoping for a august birthday but ive come to terms with sept being it bothered me so close to the others, but i will have to stop trying next month if this doesnt work as i dont want 2 the same month!
Im really pulling out all the stops this time we are dtd more this month than when we first met!
I like the ring idea too!

Sweetsister, I'm with ya! I wanted an August bday too, a sassy little Leo, LOL

Now I am just praying and doing everything I can for a BFP, I will get rid of rephresh for sure, and just trust my body on this one....I just have such strong girl vibes....I really don't want to wait until March/April....(I'm personally not keen on the next following months....don't really want another Oct baby or even Nov...just cuz its so choatic with the holidays already!) but we'll see...

Let's hope this is our month to get preggers! Before an Oct. due date, LOL

I decided to test with my cheap strips from the end of AF and start testing with the digital when the lines started getting darker. My strips started getting slightly darker but not enough to be confusing (still looked very negative) but I still decided to use the digital yesterday afternoon and it was positive (didn't use it in the morning). DH and I DTD last night but I really expected the digital and maybe even the strip as well to be positive this morning but neither were.

The reason I can't figure out what is going on and if I did ok with any sort of attempt is because this is not the normal pattern my cycle follow (of course). Even though my cycle is irregular I usually can tell with OPKs when I am about to O as they usually fade in. I was planning to DTD 2DBO, 1DBO, and on O but I'm wondering if O just surprised me this month. I was cramping slightly last night before we DTD but I'm just not sure now.
that is exactly what happened to me my last 2 cycles usually i have a fade in but i had a +one day and the next a darker than the test line +then gone?Im starting to not beleive the OPKs because still no BFP so this cycle im just DTD every second day regardless of what OPKs say?

Yeah I normally do have a long surge (which is probably why I've been ok catching it with FMU in the past) but after reading more I do understand why most say not to use FMU. However, what I don't understand is how the same type of tests goes from positive, to negative to positive. Because I thought once the LH surge started it just continued till you O and then goes down so I don't understand why there would be a dip and then it would go back up. But I am a glad I got another smiley because for some reason I was really feeling panicked like I caught it to late when it was gone this morning.

is your DH releasing on the alternate days?
the OPKs are unlikely to be wrong, but perhaps you OV a bit later after the pos OPK than most? or maybe it's just bad luck that you haven't had a BFP yet. temping would tell you for sure when you OV

Oh, well. I was looking at my charts and I always take a dip at 2 or 3dpo except my BFP chart…That one had no dip. I want to stay hopeful but my gut is telling me that this cycle will result in a BFN. This is my 1st time using RepHresh (as last BFP was an oopsie) so I’ll be scaling back for sure! I still plan to strap DH to the bed and DTD like rabbits again b/c I’m more “team preg” than “team girl” right now, lol.
I'm sorry, Jen - it's frustrating to take a step backwards and not be as far into the wait as you hoped. I still think you have a great chance (remember that super fertility we're supposed to have post m/c), though, and will be hoping to hear BFP news to cheer me up during my loooooong stay with the in-laws.

And I hear you on 'team preg' - that's why I think I'm going to skip rephresh this cycle - I just can't bear the thought of having to TTC 4 months like I did last time since I didn't get my BFP until I dropped rephresh.

Seriously I feel like he’s “Peppe Le Peu” (remember that cartoon anyone???) and I’m that poor little cat who accidentally got a white stripe of paint spilled down her back. He just can’t get enough of me and I just can’t get away from him quick enough…
Sounds EXACTLY like my life, Jen! I think one of the reasons dh is a little bitter about all this swaying/TTC stuff is that he knows the only reason I suddenly want sex is to make a baby. I try my best to play the part to make him believe I'm actually into it, but most of the time I'd rather be watching tv or reading .
