Egg beaters are simply egg whites that have the yolks pre-removed at the factory and then they're put into a carton and sold in the dairy section. So if you can't find egg beaters, simply substitute egg whites that you've separated the yolk out of yourself (if you have wee ones, they can eat the yolks scrambled, and also pets like them as well - egg yolk is an excellent food for dogs and cats and also if you have any birds that are laying - I know it's a bit cannibalistic but birds will lay lovely eggs when fed egg yolks regularly.

thanx Carmella!!! I personally believe it's far better to eat some fresh fruit rather than canned, for exactly this reason. The canning process makes them turn basically into candy (which is fine here and there) but a nice bowl of fresh berries, with aspartame or sugar on top or just straight, is a lot more satisfying and filling than canned strawberries are. You can also eat a lot more fresh unsweetened berries than the syrupy canned ones for the same amount of cals.

Only in terms of calories - strawberries have very little protein or fat and are "free" for pro/fat content. you do need to count them for calories tho.
