I know what you mean about boy being obvious but I *think* I know what I saw so don't have much hope. Dh says it is def a boy. So annoying not to know absolutely for sure as that tiny bit of hope is so hard....

charlie- so so much luck for tomorrow!!

Did you go to Yately?! That's where I went yesterday and had the same lady who seemed dopey!! She was looking between the legs and saying so you want to know gender, I said Im sure its too early but yes please, then at the end she said come back for another free one as its a gender scan (16 weeks plus) and I was like no Im almost 13 weeks, early pregnancy scan! Then she said no wonder I couldnt see. I said to her I wanted a nub shot, angle of the dangle .......... I think I will stick with Future Babies in Reading next time, double the price but so much more clued up!

Arrrgghh I cant keep up anymore girls.

Indigo Sorry you heard boy but I agree with the other girls that if it was an unsure answer then 4 weeks is a long time and baby will be much more developed and should give you a clearer answer at your 20wk scan, I know gender can be told at 16wks but I'd still be scared it was too early, hope your doing ok hun sending you lots of hugs xxxx

Babymad - I have yet to talk to dh about high tech but that's my sanity break when I feel sad about never having a dd. I half hope he says no way or my pre tests would be to bad to attempt. I 100% honestly hand on heart if some one said to me you have a choice, gauranteed a healthy dd or I take that longing away from
You totally forever with a pill, I would take that pill. Does that sound mad? I just hate that nighling feeling and don't want that for the rest of my life. Ugh!

No i havent, but i might try it! mind you the reason i went to letchworth is cos one of ds1's friends has lessons there while his mum and little bro paddle about. i was thinking i could put ds1 into the lesson and have more time to play about with ds2 and my friend with her little ds2. Still the idea of more slides and fountains sounds fun, might go as a family at the weekend! thanks hun!

Which realistically is what people are going to think with us having 4 boys and then adopting a girl.
This is a really tricky one hun and i would feel exactly the same! But you cant not do something just because of other peoples silly comments/judgements. YOU know how much you love your boys and thats all that matters. Plus people are too wrapped up in their own lives to be thinking about it for too long!

Seconds this! Who cares what people think? There will lots of people who wehave had our thirds for a dd. There are people who don't get why anyone would have more than two kids. There are people I know who don't understand why people have kids at all! Why people aren't happy with a flash car and a big house and no stretch marks! Tis your life to do as you please, there's nothing wrong with wanting another child to love however you think of it.

Tlm - lovely to hear from you x

Maybebaby I'm mixed African-Caribbean-English and Dp is English. It's true there are a lot of Afro-caribbean kids to be adopted.

babymad I think if I remember correctly there needs to be a two year age gap between the adopted child and the youngest biological child. but the process normally takes 9 month to year ish I think so you could start the process when ds4 is one. Yes you can say you can go into the process only wanting to adopt a child of specific gender, age, race, not with any disabilities, illnesses etc.

If that was an avenue you went down I would just get there before eveyone else and put out there that yes you wanted to adopt a girl to complete your family. And how lucky you feel to have your boys, how it's led you to the place where you feel you can add a little girl who needs a home to your family. A fantastic one with lots of brothers to look out/after her! Just be honest yes I have 4 boys and want a girl so i'm adopting one, and that's that! You'd be doing a good thing people can't judge you for that. x
