Hi everyone, just popping by to say hi while I watch OBEM!
Deaks - I have a really good girl feeling for you because you dropped some sway tactics! I go with Atomic's view that going all out and creating this 'perfect' sway can increase testosterone and lower testosterone for a girl is one of the aspects of swaying which has pretty good evidence behind it.
Sunset - I tell my children if they can't think of anything nice to say, to not say anything at all. What a shame adults can't be that considerate! I would have been miffed by that comment too.
Inglewood - when they estimated my baby is 2lb 6oz I thought of you carrying twice that. No wonder you feel uncomfortable!
Ladies, third boys are amazing! I started potty training DS3 2 weeks ago (he's 2 years and 4 months) and not only does he have it during the day already (he's so over potties already - he uses the big boy toilet now!) but he's waking up dry in the mornings too. The easiest of the bunch (and that goes for most things too!). I'm so glad he was a he and not a she because I don't think we'd have had a fourth then and we'd never have met him!
Are any of your LOs dressing up for World Book Day tomorrow? My two want to go as Gandalf and Frodo (Lord of The Rings). We've had a right palaver with DS1's white Gandalf cape as they were too long when I bought them and pregnancy brain took over when I went to take it up last weekend - I cut off twice the amount I meant to! I had to order him a new one (paying a ridiculous amount for express delivery!), get my mum to take it up (too scared to put scissors to it again!) last minute and now - he's just thrown up twice so probably won't be at school tomorrow anyway! Poor lad's heartbroken.2005

Just watched OBEM and that lithuanian family cracked me up! Poor old victor not only banished during labour, but banished when his daughter arrived too!Last edited by deaks66; February 29th, 2012 at 06:30 PM.

When we moved from ig to pl I did the stats and it was 50:50 not exactly spot on but a few ladies left at 20w at the sexing scan point soi think it fair to assume that most of them heard boy and left. I agree with indigo - it's not fair it's not higher but I also agree with deaks - maybe it would be 75% boys if we did nothing? I didn't sway the months before I got pg but after seeing the ig stats for extreme swaying the did make me wonder.
Sunset - what a rude woman! I had two woman at gym sit next to yesterday flagging off a friend who was on her fourth baby saying how horrible babies are blah blah I'm sure they knew I could hear. Looking like I'm going to give birth any second! I want my boys to respect woman! If I say things like that to them then will marry some old bag with no self respect! My boys need to respect me as a woman and a worthwhile human being and look at women as equals or they they will grow up to be very poor individuals. If woman don't belive we are as good as any bloke then god help us all!
I might say 'I don't do girls' as I clearly don't have any but my friends little girls or boys are just all kids to me. The boys play with them and don't think of them differently. I only babysit for girls as my friends have girls. If I was to say 'oh no I can't help I only know about boy's I would think myself unfit to have kids. I would given her my best evil stare

Sunset - how rude, sounds like that lady was battling some gd issues herself!
I am on Facebook, quite often lol. We will find out gender at 19 weeks but this time I have 0% belief this is a girl, had all boy guesses by the pro's and feel 100% this is a boy and to be honest at least I have accepted that as wouldnt like to be in limbo.
Inglewood, I bet your knackered! Try to take it as easy as possible even if that means just chilling in your dressing gown on weekends.
Deaks, hope you get a better offer today!
H&DG - I think smog wannabee's who then get their girls will be great mums to both their boys and girls as they have experienced it from both sides so know not to loose that bond with their boys once girls have arrived so may an extra effort. I just think its sad when I see my OH's mum give her 100% to her own Mum and her Daughter but nothing to my OH, I know she thinks hes a man and has his own family now so leaves him to call her when he needs to or whatever, but I just can't imagine my love and worry for my boys suddenly switching off when they leave home, I dont know how she can go 6+ weeks living 5 mins up the road without speaking or seeing him, regardless of if he has given the impression before of needing a bit more space than weekly visits.
Zanacal - your poor DS after all that effort! Maybe he could have some friends for a dress up tea once better?
I look at my DS2 and say I couldnt be without him so know a 3rd boy will be loved just like him too.
Kell, hope you can move soon, must be awful!
Maybebabythree, I used to say 'Im glad I dont have to do the whole girls teenage years thing' to my friends but have stopped saying that now as I soon realised teens, wether boys or girls can be a handful lol. I embrace my friends little girls now and enjoy shopping for pink for them. Probably makes people think 'aww, sad as I bet shed love her own girl' but Im coming to terms with accepting people thinking that as Ive probably thought it too about others and its pity in a nice way, not a bitchy way.
I feel like a new woman today, no more sicky feeling bug so off for a pizza hutt lunch!
