TTC Girl - question about skipping breakfast

How many hours are all you lovely ladies managing between your evening meal and your meal the next day (probably lunch)?

I'm having trouble skipping breakfast, so am messing around with skipping the evening meal instead (or eating very early) and having a late breakfast. BUT I'm not sure if that is spacing the two meals enough (15 hours currently).

Also - any Mum's out there pregnant with girls - would love to hear how many hours you stayed empty between dinner and lunch

I understand the girl diet is very hard, I tried to do it but obviously not well enough as I had boy number three five months ago. What I don't get is all my friends have girls without swaying, all of them ate breakfast and caffine. Its so not fair I too am desperate to ttcDD one day - please God. Good luck with the diet anyway, as I have seen from other posts at least the ponds fall off. (not sure if they need to on you but I could do with shreading a few)

I'm still in the process of TTC a girl. I probably finish dinner sometime between 7:30-9 p.m. at night and then don't eat again until AT LEAST noon ... although if I can push it later than that, I do. When I'm at work, I'm most likely to eat lunch between noon and 1 p.m., but the days when I'm home I tried to hold off until at least 1:30 p.m. So I would say that my very shortest interval between dinner and then lunch the next day is 15 hours ... but sometimes I may go 18 hours or more.

Atomic has mentioned that it's easier for some people to wake up, skip breakfast and keep pushing through without feeling too terribly hungry ... but once you have that first meal on board, it's like your body wakes up and says, "Yes! More food! More meals!" And I find that to be true for me. I can hold off without eating until noon, 1 p.m., 2 p.m., sometimes even past 3 p.m. ... but once I've eaten lunch, I became ravenous in just a few hours.

In general, my rule of thumb for myself is: Absolutely no lunch before noon, absolutely no dinner before 6 p.m. and no snacking in between. That may mean I eat "lunch" at 3 p.m. and dinner just three hours later ... but those limits really help me stick it out.

That's plenty of hours without eating, why are you worried about going any longer than that? Just skip breakfast and you are fine! Don't worry about it!

Thanks guys for the info - great to hear what others are doing.

Amari - that 15 hours I'm doing is by skipping dinner / eating dinner early and breakfast later than usual. If I wait till lunch to eat my blood sugar seems to crash and I get anxiety attacks and shaky and just feel TERRIBLE.
So I'm trying different things to see if I can still achieve a stretch of hours without eating that works better for me. But I wasn't sure how long was long enough - if you know what I mean.

Wow you are doing an amazing job! Well done!
What do you drink during those hours till lunch? I get so bored with water.

Eating an early dinner and a late breakfast is perfectly fine for TTC pink! There's no magic to it, just trying to keep blood sugar on the low side for as many hours out of the day as we can.

Hi Clara and welcome! Congrats on your third son! My third son is a beautiful and amazing guy and I can't imagine not having him!

If you swayed on the French Gender Diet or InGender Diet last time, we have a different diet on here called the LE Diet which may work better for you. It's in the Dream Members section along with recipes, meal plans, and stuff, but I can message you a simple version of it so you can have a look before deciding if you want to go in for the Dream Membership.

The breakfast does really seem to help but it's not a magic bullet - plenty of exceptions on both sides of the aisle. It's not that there is anything magic about skipping breakfast, it's that people whose blood sugar is on the lower side tend to have more girls and the skipping brekkie is just a trick we use to keep our blood sugar down for awhile. http://genderdreaming.com/forum/tryi...pink-dust.html

We have found that there is no need to give up caffeine for TTC pink - you would have to drink a near-fatal amount of caff for months to affect your calcium absorption anyway, and we don't even know if calcium sways in the way that the FGD/IGD claim. We are having equally good results NOT taking cal-mag! here is a link to a three part essay with probably more info than you ever wanted to know about calcium and how it may not sway pink after all (links in first essay to the other two.) http://genderdreaming.com/forum/tryi...roversial.html

That is exactly how I am as well, once I start eating then I eat all day or I'm miserable, but if I never really get started, then I'm honestly not hungry, not shaky, no blood sugar crashes, etc.

That having been said I am sure that 12-15 hours is fine, drama, you are a superhero to go that long. Don't overdo it.

and for you, it seems that waiting too long to eat breakfast isn't a viable option. We're looking for the strategy that will keep our blood sugar down for as much of the day as we can, without being miserable! no one has to skip breakfast if that doesn't work for them, it's just soemthing that has helped for many of us. Good luck.
