Welcome, HappyLea! I usually use my O date to calculate my due date, but it causes a lot of confusion with my midwives since they use LMP and always insist on keeping the date they get. It usually makes only a day or two difference with me, but it still gets annoying that they keep telling me my due date is different than I think it is, and I'm stubborn so I won't change it

Thanks Mocha, i did get confused as i would think it would be from O but i know my dr calculates from CD1. So my CD1 was 4th Feb and i think i Ov'd on CD18 which was the 21st Feb. I normally have a 13 day luteal phase.
So Mocha what would you say my due date would be?Mummy to 6 beautiful boysand expecting our

I'd definitely go by your O date since you ovulated late - the LMP due date is based on a typical CD14 ovulation. I used this site:
Due date calculator - When is my due date?
And it looks like it might be November 14th! It's really all arbitrary, anyway since we know babies come when they're ready...

My scan's in 2 hours and I'm getting nervous. Not about the scan so much, but about all the testing in general. I'm having the first round of blood tests today for the triple screening, and the more I read about it the more I worry about getting a false positive because of my age (37), or far worse, a true positive. I'm even more stressed because I have to wait until after they take the second round of blood at 15 weeks to get the results.
It's weird, because I've always had these tests and never worried about them before. I usually wait until my 12 week scan then announce to the world in general I'm pregnant, but now I'm scared to until I get the results from the second blood test in 3-4 weeks. I'm scared of the prospect of having to get an amnio and genetic counselling, and potentially having to make a really tough decision about the baby if it tests positive after all that.
I'm going to try to focus on the positive part of today - I get to see my baby - and lay the stresses aside for the moment. Maybe once I have a picture to nubsess over I won't dwell on this other stuff so much.

Exactly. And it could potentially make a difference in my case, too. This will be my second VBAC, and my midwives won't let me go much overdue because of that. They also won't induce with a VBAC, so if baby takes his or her time coming, it might mean another c-section for me!

Thanks ladies, i know what you mean. I did think about 13th 14th November but think the drs will give me about 9th 10th November.
I have had no issues with my 2 older boys but i went into labour at 35weeks with DS3 and delivered him at 36weeks, I just hope i dont have another premature baby. He was ok but horrid labour.
GoodLuck for your scan today Mocha, oh cant wait to see scan pic. Dont worry and enjoy every moment, easier said then done. This will be baby #4 for me and i think we are so lucky to have 3 beautiful boys are we tempting fate with a fourth iykwim?Mummy to 6 beautiful boysand expecting our
