Hi everyone
I am PG with my 2nd baby and at 14wks exactly I had an appointment with my Obs who has a scanning machine in her office. She tried to do a potty shot but we only saw a bit of swelling in that area which she said could be boy or girl at this gestation. Then she switched it to 3D and took a photo. I instantly thought what I was looking at was a pair of testicles hanging below the baby's bottom, but since then I have been researching and have found it to be unlikely that testes have descended this early. I have also been trying to find out more about the 'nub' theory.
Would anyone else out there have a better idea about whether this is in fact a 'nub' under my baby's bottom? I understand that 3D is not ideal for a gender prediction and that 14wks is considered too early to give an accurate guess, but I was hoping someone may have come across a similar 'nub' photo in 3D before and may be able to share their experiences?
Thank you in advance for any help you can giveI have included an arrow to point at it which I hope helps?

OH THANK YOU CINSS
I was thinking that about the 2nd photo too! I thought, surely this little 7cm baby can't have big bulging testicles, already???
I found a video on Youtube that shows one of the only similar shots of a 3D nub sticking out of the bottom the way mine is. If you go to 0:50 they show it clearly, in a similar angle to mine. That bub was exactly 14wks too and ended up being a girl

I don't want to get my hopes up too much, but I'm so glad to have a bit of light shed on a nub showing up under the bottom like that possibly being a girl? Did your DD look a bit like this Youtube video too?

3D is useless for gender determination at this stage. You need a 2D image. My 4th DD had "testicles" in the 3D pics at 16 weeks, but she's all girl.
