chocolate, sorry you didn't hear girl, though you have been saying boy the whole time...you must have had a really good gut feeling! I know your baby boy will be handsome and you'll be so in love when you meet him, but I totally understand the dream of some pink!

My DH keep saying our baby's got to be a boy and now I want the baby to be girl more than ever just to prove him wrong! (Sometimes men can be soooo infurirating...)

Did anyone see that girl on This morning who had a craving for sucking then developed into eating sponges whilst pg with her ds? it rang so many bells for me when pg with both ds's. apart from hers was more extream than mine. i never ate the sponge i just loved the smell of a soapy sponge and would fill it will boiling water and suck it. Dp was watching it upstairs and came down after the interveiw and said 'your double was on the tele' and i burst out laughing! although i never kept my addicition from him, im sure he thought i was crazy. i would wake up in the night wanting a fix and then go back to bed and dp would be asking what the hell i was messing about at in the toilet with the constant running water. it was so embarressing but i just couldnt help it. i never had any other type of craving for food etc just that one. it stopped striaght away after i had them, it was just whilst i was pg. now ive googled it and it seems that its quite a normal craving. lol i hope you all dont think im crazy

i havent yet felt the need to buy any sponges yet tho!

Hi ladies. I am so physically drained today since ds2 got rushed to A&E last night. He is doing much better today and we got the good news that his eye is not infected but it's only the surrounding tissue that is affected so he should hopefully only need another 48 hours or so of iv antibiotics... it was so scary last night, it all went so fast i put him to bed at 7pm and all you could see then was a tiny red mark next to his eye and 3 hours later his eye was the size of a golf ball, no kidding! OH is with him at the hospital tonight and i'm home looking after ds1 and dd.. hoping he will be able to come home tomorrow evening or friday

chocolate congrats on your boy! i'm so sorry you didnt hear pink.. seems like you must have had a real strong gut instinct though. ((hugs))

Thanks everyone, had a good cry a few times now, poor DS1 saw some of it and has been trying to be really good and make me happy which just makes me feel guilty. OH rang but I had to hang up as I just didnt want to talk about it.
My mum rang and I just said 'I knew it was a boy all along so cant really be disappointed' but then had a bit of a rant about how if my boys turn out like the men I know then she won't be saying in 10years time that they are lovely.

Def. can't ever get pregnant again if there is a chance its a boy as I have been so bloody moody the last 3 months, can't wait to not be pregnant again, Im sure once I have an actual baby in my arms to cuddle it will be ok, but right now I just dont feel particularly positive about anything in my life right now. Boys are giving me a hard time, work is crap, family etc. are all selfish, just can't be bothered with much. Roll on September.

Anyway, thanks for the sympathy and sure Ill be back on at some point, Charlie I hope we have done the fair share of boys for this thread now.

    xx

Inglewood. I had this happen to one of my pushchairs and mould and mildew spray (stuff designed for cleaning bathrooms smells bleachy) got it all out and didn't bleach the fabric. You can do a little test patch. I would def give it a go!

Chocolate congrats on your little boy, sorry you didn't here girl. xx

Sunset hope your poor ds feels better soon. xx

It's all a little manic here. Bathroom being fitted, trying to fit in grouting tiles, piles of clothes everywhere, DS2 screaming cuddle at me every 5 minutes ......

I've taken a break off the diet. I was making me feel lousy.
Taking a break off TTC going to keep having tests to monitor my fertility. Just going to try and focus on other things for a while.

    Chocolate how is your ds1?
My ds1 was going through a really naughty stage when he was about 3 ish and the H/V said to praise him A LOT all through the day, for really simple things like 'Thankyou for drinking you drink so nicely', 'What a good boy for holding my hand when crossing the road' 'Well done for getting out of the bath when you were asked', etc. Also try and ignore the bad behaviour as much as possible unless it's dangerous because they are doing it to get your attention good or bad. So will cotton on that they get more attention if they are good. Also to have a little treat bag and fill it with loose balloons, stickers, bubbles small treats etc. If they have a really good day allow them to pick one thing out of the bag.

It really actually worked for my DS. She also sugested To have some one, on one time with just him for at least 30 minutes of each day.

So I would get him to sit on the counter top whilst I washed up and he'd chat to me, or i'd just sit and play with him whilst ds1 was napping (instead of running around doing housework) or we'd bake together etc. Until she said it I didn't reaslise that I rarely did things just with him that didn't involve ds2.

Chocolate, I'm so sorry you didn't hear girl. Congrats on your blue bundle though, he is going to melt your heart.

Sunset, hope ds improves very soon, very scary for you both! What caused the infection? Can't believe how quickly it grew, you must have been terrified.

Babymad, sounds like you have really been through it what with illness and dh being insensitive. Hopefully you will catch up on much needed sleep very soon and then everything else will start to feel more manageable. It's so frustrating that the only cure to gd is the actual baby being born but pregnancy just lasts so long. You will get there soon though and holding your baby will be wonderful.

Hi to everyone else as always. Got my parents here but hoping to catch up on posts properly tomorrow sometime.

Maybe, I hope all is well with little Dave.
