My two are both boys only 15months apart. But my first has slept through from 3months and I couldn't breastfeed so I think I would have recovered quite quickly.

The only reason I ask is because we were hoping to have a similar gap between DS2 and our next. DS2 is 3months but very different to DS1 waking many times through the night and is completely breastfed.

Many people say that our plan is crazy but we only plan on having three so because the first two happened to be so close (not planned that way) we don't want a large gap for our last hopefully this will stop exclusion from the older two.

Actually saying when should I purchase my personalised sway plan? Hoping to start ttc in September.

I think my pregnancy is the reason my #2 ended up a boy... with my #1 (girl) I was a pretty typical "starving student" and eating poorly... then I got pregnant and totally changed my diet to a super nutrient dense diet (Brewer Pregnancy Diet) and I got a boy next. I really think the food had a lot to do with it b/c I kept it up while I was nursing DD. They are only 19 months apart.

Anyways, my midwife also says the ideal is 2 years for mama to recover. We are shooting to TTC when Honor is around 20 months old, but more because of when we'd like to have another (Sept. - Oct. 2013)... I think as I get closer to "no more babies" I feel like a baby is totally a blessing when a baby comes I would be a little disappointed to be pregnant soon since I'm still recovering from Honor's birth... but there are lots of healthy babes born close to siblings. And they're such a joy!

It's best in terms of diet/supps if you have 3 months to (calmly) buy supplies, work on diet, practice and perfect the plan before your sway attempt, but you can buy it whenever you want and just keep it at the ready. It's totally up to you - if it gives you peace of mind to have it now, I can do it now, or if you prefer to wait that's fine too!

    Great points!!

I think doctors and midwives want to optimize and have things as ideal as they can (which of course they SHOULD!) but that doesn't mean that a child born closer than the optimal spacing, will turn out unhealthy or badly in any way!

My DH and his little sister are only 18 months apart and she's really smart (smarter than him LOL). I asked my MIL what she ate before conceiving her and she said she was desperately dieting because people were supposed to have all their weight off before having another baby, and that she even tried to diet during pg because they weren't supposed to gain more than 20 lbs (my mom recalls gaining 40 lbs with me and the doctor would yell at her at every appointment!). I totally agree that it's all about the individual's diet, some people eat very nutritious diets in pg and some people can't.

It's more than just a plan, it's a sway coaching service so I am always there to update, revise, answer all your q's, etc. Whatever YOU feel would best put your mind at ease - whether it's having a plan in place now and then having time to prepare and ask questions, or if you prefer to do your own research for now and see if you even NEED a plan in the future...it's totally up to you!!

Health professionals say you should have 12 months between pregnancies. I fell pg with my dd when my ds2 was 7 months old, so they have a 16 month gap. It was hard esp. physically, eventhough I absolutely loved it and still do! I had SPD because of the short gap. The midwife said to wait 1 year before ttc again so as to give my pelvis a break. I also did a lot of work outs (not while swaying, mainly while on maternity leave) and I feel really fit now. I fell pregnant at first attempt, the cycle after my daughter turned 1 year. She will be 21.5 months when baby no.4 comes (if all goes well). If you had a c-section you should definitely wait for at least 12 months or possibly longer! Yes, I think swaying boy you should make sure you are really fit and healthy first. I definitely wasnt when conceiving my dd!!!
