    Anyone know if depression sways?

Either way? Or if an antidepressant would sway? Are they ok to take while ttc or with a pregnancy?

It is not ideal to be taking anti depressants while ttc or pregnant, you can do it if it is absolutly necessary, but under close doctor supervision.

I would say that if you are under medical supervision and you feel you need to take something than your dr can advise you as to which antidepressant may be safest to take. The most important thing is for you to be healthy emotionally and physically. You can also consider taking something while ttc and go off once you are pregnant. I am by no means an expert but talking with one may answer your question.

I've been on anti-depressants since ds2 was born. I went off when ttc #3 but this time I'm staying on until I'm pg. I don't know how safe it is, but I had a friend who was on them the whole pg. Her doctor said its a risk/benefit analysis. If you need them you need them, but only your Dr. can decide this and determine which one is safest. I am taking Zoloft, it works really well for me. From what I've read here it sways pink.

    Hope you're feeling better soon

Antidepressants can sway pink but not the best sway tactic because they are not safe for pg.

Depression is one of those things that is so tough to define and different for everyone that I wouldn't even venture to say how it sways. It seemed to sway pink for me but that may have been coincidental.

You can get antidepressants from your general doc, but I would also run it by your OB to see what they think.

I am definitely stopping mine the minute I get a bfp.

I too am on anti depressants and intend on stopping them once i get a BFP, My doc has said it is fine to take them 9she knows about me wanting to ttc a girl and said if i stop them now it will most likly up my testostorone (sp) because of the axienty (sp) and stress etc so we have actually cut my dose down and when i get a BFP she also said that the natrul adrenilan in my body about being pregnant will help alot with the stopping of my meds and i will be excited! I have very low seratonin hence the reason i am on the meds, not sure if any of this makes sense, i know i understand in my head but trying to relay it and explain it is actually harder than i thought!
Proud mummy to.. and also step mummy to

Your post makes complete sense Kiesse! I'm thinking the exact same as you... a bfp will take away the need for the meds. I am usually happy when pg, it must be the hormones!
