Hi All! I could really do with some help here..
This month is my dummy run trying to pinpoint ovulation and it is also the first month I've used the CBFM. I wanted to use it in conjunction with the cheapie opks. The night before I got a peak on the CBFM i did an opk and it was it appeared negative but had a faint line..I think with the amount of liquids I'm drinking it has been difficult to leave enough of a gap for the opks to accurate.
The day of the first peak I experienced cramping pain on the lower right side of my abdomin which I've never experienced before and I'm pretty sure it was O pains as I cant think of anything else it could be.. I've never really paid enough attention before to know if I've had O pains before or not but this was pretty bad!
The next morning opk the lh line on opk was more faint than the other line but still very much there and CBFM shows a peak still.
Would that suggest that I have not yet ovulated ? Or is it normal for CBFM to show a second peak day regardless?
Any thoughts are welcomed!!

Boompink already answered your main q (thanks Boompink) But I wanted to let you know, if the line on OPK is not as dark as the other line, then it's a neg. test. That doesn't mean that you didn't ovulate, it just means that you either missed the surge or else like you guessed, that your urine was too diluted.
Many people get faint lines on OPK at varying times of the month and I just didn't want you to count on faint lines to necessarily mean anything - only when the line is as dark or darker than the control does it "count." Our bodies release little surges of hormones at other times of the month and can give us faint lines on OPK.

Ok I'm back with further CBFM confusion!!!
This morning I got a peak on it after 3days of high. I also did a cheapie opk at the same time but this didn't even show a faint line (maybe v v v faint) but without a doubt was negative.
The cbfm stick looked smudged and I'm wondering if the monitor could have read it wrong.
On the plus side... Plenty of ewcm to indicate ovulation is near..
I'm thinking of going out and get digital opks soon but just wanted some thoughts on if the monitor is def wrong if the opk is showing negative :s!!!

Man, I wish I was more of a CBFM expert!! If you don't get any more responses, start a new thread with a new title, maybe in the Gender Swaying discussion forum so you get more hits (some of the pink swayers use CBFM and don't read this forum as much.)
My gut instinct is that it's more likely to get a neg. OPK when ovulating, but at the same time the smudged stick seems weird too. Def. start a new thread so the CBFM experts can chime in.!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

Hi!
The cbfm works in a different way to opk. The opk work best in the afternoon so if you did it in the morning that might be why it was negative. I think you can trust the cbfm so if it says peak I would assume you wil ovulate in the next two days! Xx

I have discovered that I get a false peak every month. The opk looks almost + and I get EWCM and all that...then about 3-4 days latter I get a real + that I was missing by thinking the first one must of been + and then stop testing. I usually even have a temp dip and then rise for 3 or so days....it even fooled FF last month. Now I actually get smiley tests!! Good luck!!
