The carseats generally expire about 6 years after manufacture, so check the date. Some kinds, like the Britax Frontier that my older kids use, is supposedly good for 9 years, because it is made from some new kind of plastic, but I would bet that most other seats (especially infant seats) are only good about 5-6 years.

Hobber - that blanket is to die for! Love it!
Auroara - I'm going to need a new car seat too because ours are 6 years old. Here in Canada they usually have an expiration date printed right on them.

Well Hobber...I wasn't going to say until a few ladies took a look at the U/S pic but not too many looked, so...I am a Grandma of 6 BOYS - 0 GIRLS !!!! Now do you ladies see why I'm going sooooo crazy to find out! I've already starting buying pink because I figured the odds were in my favor! LOL...but my daughter talked me into slowing down on the PINK!
I have 3 daughters and 1 son (he was my youngest! I kept trying), my son's wife just had a baby boy. My first daughter is unable to have children or at least DR said it would be very hard. But her husband has a beautiful 6 yr old son, whom he has full custody of. My second daughter has 4 boys and I think she is done...so this will probably be my only hope for a granddaughter, she only wants 1 child... so anyone out there that is pretty good with nubs PLEASE look at my album there are 2 pic's...thanks

Grandma, I have GBG and swayed boy this time...hoping for a boy, but feel like I am having a girl. Maybe someday I will get a slew of grandsons like you!
I hope you get your dream of a granddaughter! Did you put the nub shot in the u/s forum? There are usually plenty of ladies who will guess there.2004

Hobber, your like my Mom GBGB, I'll pray you'll get your healthy boy. My three girls MOTHERed my boy to death!! He was such a sweet boy growing up and is a wonderful son and loving new daddy to his baby boy!
I put the nub shots on INTRO, I'll try some other's, too.
You are probably due around the same time as my daughter, Oct.19th. I guess you are a couple of weeks earlier.
The wait is soooo hard! May 5th seems forever for her gender shots. Daughter's said I need to start a project to get my mind off it...

Grandma, I couldn't see any clear nubs on those pics sorry. I would guess boy from the first skull shot but honestly I am far from an expert. I hope you get to have your grand-daughter one day. My MIL has 4 grandsons and no grand-daughters (2 from me, 2 from her daughter). She has always been very vocal about wanting a grand-daughter. I feel like this one is another boy, but no doubt she will be out buying girl things just in case!

PeonyPrincess, tell you MIL, I feel her pain!! But I will say when I held my son's new baby, of course, I fell in love with him!
I'm seeing him Monday and I am so happy!
Thanks for the look of the pic's. When I look at the pic's on my album they are not cropped but when I add them to a message they seem to be...IDK!
