I think there is a link somewhere, maybe under the "foods that boost testosterone" that talks about cruciferous veg. raising T, but lowering E. (not good for boy). Anyway, Flax and sesame was listed with it too. I only remember because I have been taking flaxseed since my first pg. as per midwife's instructions and will def. be stopping and just doing fish oil. I also eats tons of broccoli, going to be cutting down on that for awhile

I am not a fan of the lignans. They're "phytoestrogens" which herbalists love because they claim they are "natural" ways to raise estrogen. But that's actually not the case. In some ways, phytoestrogens actually interfere with your body's production and use of REAL estrogen and in effect, your hormones end up worse off and def. less blue friendly than they were to begin with. Phytoestrogens can trick your body into making less estrogen (because your body "thinks" you have enough estrogen) and the phytoestrogens compete with the real estrogen, but they're not bioidentical and they don't work as well (net result - you actually have LESS estrogen to use!!)

Your herbalist/nutritionist will probably disagree but I really don't think phytoestrogens are the way to go for blue.

Several people reported that their CM dried up while on flaxseed lignans.

When you say your hormones are messed up, what does that mean exactly??

Eating broccoli in moderation (even every day) is ok, but stay away from the concentrated supplement versions like DIM and dry sprout powders.
