My sister had posterior placenta and had aFrom what I've found online, it seems posterior placenta is more common in boys, but no significantly. TTC 5 is right, lots of other factor can influence placenta position.
This time I have anterior placenta ( front wall) and was told girl on my12 and 15 weeks scan, tho it seems anterior really can go either way.

Hey ladies, I cant recall where my placenta's were with my girls but with my boy, monthly scans showed the placenta was posterior high if that's of any help. With my first dd I had a placental abruption which I heard happens more with girls but I don't know if that's true or not. Last edited by Babystars; May 11th, 2012 at 04:38 PM.

May 14th, 2012, 07:00 AM #20I had a high anterior placenta with my DD and my mother thought I was making it up when I told her as she had never heard of such a thing. My mum has 6 daughters all with short easy labours so I guess she had only posterior placentas
