Cute "tiny ball" Yuzu! LOl. So fun to see them at any stage, huh?
So sorry you're getting sick dloui! That's the pits!
So when I told my wreched MIL that we might not find out the gender she thought that was the dumbest thing she ever heard...so I told her last night that we were going to find out the gender but keep it a surprise for everyone else...she was livid! Hahahaha.
Anyone else ever found out and not told anyone???

Fivebabies- I have found out the gender with all 3 of my kids and never told anyone other than my mom and husband. I just told everyone we didn't know. It wasn't hard for me because I didn't want to hear comments like, another boy etc.

I have my appt May 18 at 16.5 wks. I live far away from my family but will be with them 10 days from 18-19 weeks. They keep asking me when I can find out and my answer has been "they can tell on the 20 wk us" which would be after I get home. I have not told them about the other us. They are all going to be really dissapointed if it is a boy. I would rather not see their faces when I tell them. Even though it will be hard to not say anything I will keep quiet and tell them by phone after the 20wk us. Of course, if it is a girl I will suprise them when I get there. I am finding it hard to even hope for a girl. Sometimes I thinki wil be ok other times no...

I had thought about telling people we don't know but DH can't and won't lie. So its tell them we are keeping it to ourselves or not finding out...don't think I could do that.

Has anyone really started telling people? We just told our church and teachers and stuff this week as I am 12 wks now. Everyone is really excited as I havent had a baby in 5 yrs. What kills me though is how pervasive the gender thing is. Almost every single person has made a comment like "ooo.. I'll be praying for a girl." I know they mean well but I can't help thinking, "great, another person whose going to be dissapointed."

NeedAGirl!, that was the thing that got me the most before I found out was the heavy expectation that I had to have that girl. It was what worried me the most actually--my mom only has one granddaughter (she'll have 2 when this one is born) and 12 grandsons. I didn't want to add *another* grandson. I wanted my child to be loved for whoever they were.
Then once i found out I was having a girl, she was thrilled for me, but now it's just normal, and everyone's over it already. They were like "yeah a girl" and now it's just old news, lol.
Don't worry about what others think. I know that is much easier said than done, of course

Hi ladies. I hope your all well. I've been reading but holding out posting until I have my first scan on Wednesday. I'm 8+1 weeks now and feeling symptoms so please god there will be a healthy little baby there on Wednesday.
I think I'm going to do an 'Atomic'and not tell anyone until I have confirmed the gender. I just know all I will hear is 'oh maybe this will be your girl' etc. and I just don't want to hear it until I have had time to deal with it if it is another ds.
Although my tummy might be a give away as it is HUGE already!!! :0
I hope you are all doing well. I will pop back in after Wednesday with good news please god. Xx

Hi all. I just came back from an ultrasound. They gave me a transvaginal and an abdominal, so basically I am sticky all over the lower half of my body.
Anyway, the baby is doing well and measuring at 11 weeks, 2 days. Very active little baby...totally leaping around and turning flips. The ultrasound tech was SO nice, oh my gosh. She said she could see nothing between the legs (of course, it's too early), but she didn't mind if I asked questions about gender. The placenta is forming on the left side and according to the Ramzi theory that means girl, right? Oh, that would be so awesome! I'm not going to get my hopes up yet, but I'm feeling pretty good.My awesome boys!(1988)
