    How is eveyrone feeling?

I've been stuffing my face in the worst way and I am surely gaining weight, when I was doing so well early in the preg! Excited about the baby but nervous about the prospect of adding another....esp. since DS2 is wearing us out, he's being so mishcevious! He's climbing on the TV stands, climing on beds, climbing on chairs, tables, any possible thing he can. Yesterday while I was at work, he climbed onto the chair and then dug around in our all puprose drawer in the ktichen and then found a knife! Luckily DH caught him with the knife, but it's been madness...you cannot take your eyes off him for a single second or he's trying to kill himslef or fall off something...

DH was grim and said "well I think this is our welcome to parenthood" since DS1 never did any of these things and DS1 is still an easy sweet boy. DS1 was so mad at DS2 the other day after all his hijinks he begged me and DH to "send him back to the baby doctor. Don't want Evan no more."

So DS2 is 14 months, is this typical behavior at that age??? Like I said, I hadn't a clue, since DS1 was never like this, it feels like we are first time parents and we're about to have 3! When I can expect his death defying nature to calm down some???

I am worried about having a newborn in a little under 3 months and crazy man DS2.

Hey everyone, I just got back from a week out of town with family. I will try to catch up on everything asap!

While on our trip, we rented a house to stay in. After a few days there, we noticed a bunch of cat poop in the yard.... I stepped on it barefoot before I noticed it! I don't know for sure it was cat poop; there were not cats around that I ever saw. My sister thought it might have been raccoon poop, because she saw quite a few raccoons in the yard at night. Anyway, now I am all scared about toxoplasmosis! I am going to have the doctor test me at my next visit.

Congrats Happlea! Another beautiful boy will fit nicely in your family. I am sorry you got hopes up for a girl, but I know you will adore your "Cheeky" Charlie, as will his brothers! I would have LOVED to have 4 boys--that was my dream family!

Auroara, I have a hellion child. My #3 has done all that crazy stuff plus more. She has given me a run for my money! She is always into something, and needs constant supervision, or she is hurting herself or ruining something. It is so frustrating! I hope your DS2 settles down for you after a while. Mine has gotten a tiny bit better after turning 2 (though now she has a fierce independant streak and has to do everything herself, and throws a fit if you try to do things for her. )

Hobbers, welcome back!!! It's so good to see ya posting on here again....it's good you are getting checked out just in case for toxoplasmous, but hopefully you won't have anything to worry about!

DS2 has been trouble from day 1, to be honest, and while i hope he calms down soon, I just think he's going to always be our spirited child that gets into stuff who will need constant watching...him and DS1 could not be more different in personalities! and now DH is worried about DD being spirited as well...I said "if she is, I'm going to blame you." hehe

Oh and since my DH hasn't had a drink of alcohol in a month now, his sex drive came back, and now he's pawing at me every few days (he used to say he hated preg. sex, I think that was because his low sex drive was fueled by his alcohol drinking.) and while I really really wanted some loving, now I am getting too much and I'm getting so big I just feel like sex is the last thing I want to think about....so I guess I should have been careful what I wished for!

Wow Auroara, what a change in your DH! Try to enjoy it, if you can. It is hard to get in a comfortable position at this point, isn't it?

Hobber, I think you would have needed to have an open wound on your foot and then be unlucky enough to step on it and then contract it, so I would say you should be fine.

Pinkin, I hope you can see a good doc soon and get your BP stable. After all, the 2nd trimester is supposed to be the best. Bummer that your OB is away.

Auroara, your DH has certainly turned things around since his drinking stopped hey! I remember trying to BD to bring on labour with DS1 and it felt like there were 3 of us in on it. I am feeling really good and enjoying that feeling before I get to the uncomfortably big stage. I have put on 5-6kg already, but it doesn't look like it so that is good.

I looked over at the girl section, because obviously, she will need some clothes, and I kind of found myself intimated by all the ruffles and tutus!!! What is wrong with me? LOL this is what I wanted and I am getting it, but some of the girl clothes for babies are way too over the top for pratical use. I am just so practical I keep looking at those fluffly frilly outfits going she's gonna get so uncomfortable if she wore that, or that'd be really diffuclt to wash! I love sweet little girl clothes, which are cute and stylish but have some practicality built in. After all, she will still be a baby that will poop and puke, and some of these things are just not very reasonable!

Besides my inital shopping spree when I first found out, I'm watiing for my baby shower in August and then I'll do some last minute shopping of Fall stuff since I still haven't seen much long-sleeve out yet.
I agree! I've been given the most gorgeous newborn baby girl dresses that I've taken back for bigger sizes or something else! They have been so frilly that they would be lying on a heap of frills underneath them which isn't comfy! I mostly have the girls in lovely wee tops and leggings as dresses are a nightmare (not practical) when trying to rub their back to bring up wind! Dh hates dresses as they are almost over their heads when rubbing their backs!! Dresses I put on them if someone is visiting or we are going out. The UK weather doesn't allow us usually to go out without a jacket, so the dresses are usually covered and all you see is tights!
