    immature eggs

    Hi Dr Potter,

What is the reason for immature eggs and what can be done in a cycle to increase the numbers to be mature?
I also thought that the E2 numbers and the size of the follicles reflected how many would be mature?
    Thank you for your time.

This is generally true but there can be some variation among individual patients. THe parameters that clinics set work for the vast majority of patients but there are some patients that do not fit into this category. Pushing the stimulation a extra day or possibly using a higher does of hCG can increase the percentage of mature eggs.
