What do I need to do with my diet ? Daily log included

Im about to start my sway for a girl and top of my list are taking Saw Palmetto, Folic acid, vitex to lowr my testosterone the antihistamines to dry up my cm then use rephresh to lower PH. I will try drinking peppermint tea and use lavender oil on my pillow at night. I have a silly little Ionizer in my laptop that mustnt make the blind bit of difference but it makes me feel better. I also intend to use Anion pads and to wear a rose quartz bracelet. BUT ..... I CANT DO THE DIET THING !!

Im wondring if anyoine can point out what / how i can change how i currently eat to make myself more girl friendly. I am currently 5 foot 1 tall and weigh about 7 stone.

Morning - I usually skip breakfast just having a cup of tea about 7.30am
9.30 - another cup of tea maybe a biscuit or puiece of toast
11.30/12 - small sandwich with ham or cheese and a packeet of crisps
I snack about every 2 hours as otherwise my blood sugars drop and i get shakey, feel sick and get irritable and snappy - my hubby can tell when Im hungry !!
SNACKS are usually crisps, chocolate, biscuits, I eat next to no fruit.
Evening meals are usually jacket potatoes, spag bol, chilli con carne, beans on toast, salmon and vg with new potatoes, Pasta and a saucee with grated cheese, chicken fajitas ....

So anyone have any tips for changing my diet ?

    Hi-

I am not as knowledgeable as some, but I will give you some ideas to work with... I am trying in August! After reading others post and Atomic, most say no to tea because it has some nutrients in it, so it may be best to avoid it. I drink coffee rather than my typical Chai latte to hold me over till lunch. Also, try to go the vegetarian route. I too prefer sandwiches for lunch, but have been opting for a veggie sandwich or yogurt parfait with only blueberries or strawberries.

The key is keeping calories low, along with protein intake low. I know others eat potatoes as long as they are sticking within the bounds of "low everything", but I am avoiding them, tomatoes and bananas so I can keep my potassium low (that's what I got from the IG diet). For dinner I have pasta with a sprinkle of lemon pepper seasoning and a little grated parm cheese.

I am a BIG snacker as well, and really am trying to stop! I snack while making dinner and then stop eating from dinner till next morning, sometimes I eat three mini meals, beginning at noon, and end with a yogurt as my last meal at night to get calcium in.

Are you also taking supplements? I take baby aspirin, folic, Psyllium Husks (this is fiber) and am starting today because AF has arrived Saw Palmetto and Vitex.

Good luck with your diet, first week was rough as I was horrible to be around! But the shakiness subsides and I think your stomach shrinks a little because I no longer hear my tummy rumbling every hour

I just wanted to add that potatoes, bananas, and tomatoes are all necessary for me to include almost daily in order for me to reach the right amount of potassium. AS mentions all the time that low potassium can kill you so it is necessary!!

Cut out meat all together (that includes fish and chicken)! That's the easiest change you can make and it will really help. Aim for 40-50 g of protein - so beans on toast, which have a lot of protein, may be out.

Instead of snacking every 2 hours, just aim for 3 meal between lunch and bedtime. The reason you get crabby and snappy is because the snacks you eat are pure carbs (which is fairly good for TTC a girl) but you're eating them too frequently. If you switch to 3 more balanced meals with a bit of protein and carbs, your blood sugar will go down without so many unpleasant side effects and you won't feel as much need to snack constantly.

1500-1800 cals a day, 40-50 g protein (vegetarian sources are best), 25-60 g fat, avoid highly fortified foods and multivitamins, that's all you need to do.

Totally! You need 2500-3500 mg potassium for survival and this is the same level on the French and InGender diets as well, so it is in no way a compromise. On the LE Diet it can be hard to get enough potassium without including potato, banana, tomatoes and they are all 100% fine and allowed. There are no magic foods.

Re tea vs. coffee, we really don't know what is best, but we've noticed that girl moms seem to drink more coffee, boy moms seem to drink more tea. Both tea and coffee have antioxidants in them. It's just another thing we don't have enough evidence to really know for sure and there are a zillion exceptions, so if you can't give up your cuppa that's fine.

If you're very petite and already eat 1200 cals a day, then stay right where you're at and reduce protein, fat, and nutrient intake overall. There's nothing magical about 1500-1800 cals, it's just a level of caloric intake that works for most of the people, most of the time. The 1500-1800 is an average guideline, not a blanket prescription.
