    Not ovulating or low progesterone?

    I'm thinking I'm not o 'ing
Opks aren't going fully as dark as control I'm not getting a temp spike on my chart.
    Not getting pg obviously lol

I'm breast feeding. I've had issues with pcos in the past. I'm showing every symptom of low progesterone. Having lots of weight and facial hair issues.

So should I just go to my gp? Would they be able to do bloods and US or would I need to see a fs? Or is it too early to bother? We are entering month 6 ttc .

Is there any herbs I should try first? I'd love to wean the toddler but he is really hanging on.

All tips appreciated for bringing ov back. I have a fairly regular cycle. Very painful at ov time usually and very very painful heavy af ....

    How old are you?
I'm no expert, but breast feeding is obviously not helping.
Here's something you might find helpful http://genderdreaming.com/forum/gend...ving-girl.html and if you are sure you have low prog http://genderdreaming.com/forum/ttc-...cream-how.html

    Also this http://genderdreaming.com/forum/gend...rt-3-pcos.html

Hope somebody more experienced will chime in!

Hi there- I agree with Zivic that breastfeeding might be hindering your ovulation. I know that I do not ovulate at all when I'm making milk, and it takes me a couple of months after completely weaning, but I know there are women who ovulate while bfing also. Your body may just be like mine, though. I hate to tell you to stop, because I know how that is and I'm a huge bf proponent, but it's up to you.

As far as the progesterone, you can get your gp to look at your levels. I would assume that you are not ovulating due to bf and maybe the pcos also, so no need to freak out yet and go to a specialist, but honestly, I would not take any supps if you are bf anyway (especially vitex). Zivic gave the perfect links to other articles.

    Good luck!

Thanks. I have had a regular cycle since he was 4 months so that's why I thought I was ovulating

Lack of progesterone can increase weight gain and facial hair??? If so, that explains a lot in my case... hmmm.... I've been trying to raise my estrogen and progesterone naturally through food to healthy levels so I can cycle again. My cycles are still a bit wonky since the d&c, and I think I O almost immediately after AF leaves. Has anyone had this happen?

Have you had your levels tested? My doc told me it can take up to 3 cycles to get normal again after a m/c or a d&c. I'd get a progesterone level check at 7dpo (most docs tell you to go to the lab and do it on CD21 because they all archaically assume that we ovulate on CD14, so I always say just go at 7dpo). I am pretty sure that if you are at a proper level, you are making enough estrogen to ovulate. It's likely that you are ovulating quickly, that happens sometimes.

Bambinolla, I think you should do the same, have a progesterone level check. It's the first thing the docs do because it tells a lot. If you don't ovulate, your level will be low. You could also tell your obgyn that you would like to just talk about it and see what he/she recommends. May be that with the possible pcos, you might need some Clomid or something. Maybe it's acting up. But best to just get things checked out- take it from me....we waited a year to do anything about it and I wish we had earlier. And by the way, not to freak you gals out, but like in my case, the men are the problem 40% of the time when you are having trouble conceiving. Sperm levels can fluctuate. Probably not the case, but just worth a mention.

I'd guess that it is the PCOS and probably a quick check of your levels can tell you what is going on. Maybe you could get some clomid to help O!

    Lola,
I go to my ENT Monday, he'll order the testing I need, we have to fix my autoimmune first, then the progesterone apparently. I guess early O is ok so long as I O... but monitoring it just the same.
