A profile of the baby showing crown to rump length. At the rump end, there is a nub beyond the legs. It will either be parallel with the spine or sticking up. At 13w5d, I would ask to see a potty shot too! Good luck!

My ultrasound with both DS 4 and DD were pretty obvious at that stage (both of mine were late in the 13th week). DS 4 had an obvious peener and DD had long, straight, bright white lines that I had never seen before on my other ultrasounds. Then the tech did a potty shot just for a second and I didn't see anything between the legs.

Also, I could tell a lot from the tech's demeanor - at my dr's office they are not allowed to tell gender at that stage but the tech with DS 4's scan the tech was kind of apologetic and said, "I know that really looks like a penis but you never know, it can go away" in a way that made me think she did not think that would happen, and at DD's scan the tech got really excited about halfway through and started calling "he" "he or she".

I found out all my kids genders in week 13 (nuchal scan). I must say this time it was way too early... I wish I just hadnt known for a little while longer. Its amazing when you hear what you wish, but when you dont, I think its easier to be a bit closer to birth if that makes sense. I am now 26 weeks and cant wait to meet my little boy, but initially it seems like eternity....

I replied to your other thread. I would be sure that this is a girl. But like I say, I had all my kids genders confirmed very early. Congrats xxxx
