I'm sorry I've been MIA - I finally caved and got the Fifty Shades books for my Kindle and read all three back to back. I didn't want to like them but I was well and truly gripped and I'm even thinking about them now a day after I finished the last book! I need to start reading something else to get it out of my head. Any suggestions?

I've been feeling quite down lately. I'm just festering at home and not seeing anybody (school run aside) during the week and I guess I'm just not used to it given that I'm usually at work. I hate housework, always have done, but the less I do the more despondent I become and the less I actually want to do - then I look around at the mess and dust and I cry because I feel like it's all on top of me. I came home from school this morning all enthusiastic about getting the house straight and have done lots but I was about to do the hoovering and I felt very dizzy, so I've stopped for some toast and a drink! I wish I could get motivated! I also know that within half an hour of having the boys home the house will be a complete tip again *sigh*. DS3 is very challenging lately. He's obviously jealous of how much time I spend holding and feeding the baby but he's really playing up, having mega tantrums and pooing his pants several times a day. DS1 and DS2 are just hyper - and trying to kill each other half the time. I'm trying not to shout and to keep them occupied but because I'm feeling down and unmotivated I end up leaving them to their own devices (and giving them way to much tv/DS time). Oh - and to top it up I was looking at my wedding photos this week and I can't believe how ugly and fat I've got. I have 5 stone to lose, which is just ridiculous. I also need a new haircut but I've got stupid thick curly hair which doesn't do as it's told. OK, I'll crawl back in to my hole now - I hadn't intended on this rant!!

Zanacal I'm sorry you feel so down, you are not alone on some of your sadness, I am exactly the same with my house, and it's made ten times worse by the fact that dp has been off work for the last three months and has not lifted a finger once! Which in turn makes me sooooo angry because why should I do it all when he is here, how is that slightly fair!

I remember being stuck in a rut with staying home and feeling down about myself when ds2 was little, I managed to pull myself out of it eventually by meeting some mums from netmums and trying to be more socialble. Also got an app called myfitnesspal which was fab and helped me to loose weight, the community boards were brilliant for advise as well

Don't be too hard on yourself you have a lot on your plate at the moment! Could you ask dh to help you with the chores so that you can get on top of them? Or tell him he's taking the kids out so you can have some time alone to just relax a little.

Oh Zanacal, so sorry your feeling down at the mo, but its perfectly normal!! you've just had a baby!! you have 4 kids and you are doing a great job! im sure your dh would agree!! Try not to let the housework get on top of you, i do understand where you're coming from as i too get really pissed off when my house is a mess, can you ask anyone to help, maybe family or dh? hun, you have a beautiful little girl, just enjoy her as she will grow up sooo fast as im sure you are aware, the housework is un-important and can wait :-)) x x

Just looked at my ticker, my baby is 8 months 2moz!!!! soo cant believe where the time has gone!!! im meant to be going back to work next week but im taking the 3 months unpaid off, god i so couldnt deal going back just yet, the thought of leaving ds3 is awful :-( x x

Z ~ Hugs hun. I agree with the others....try not to let yourself get down about it all, especially the housework. it is hard though, I am a complete organised freak so I hate it when my world gets turned upside down! I get very frustrated when I haven't got the time to get on with jobs....but then I tell myself that I need to make the most of my time whilst feeding Beck and have lots of cuddles.....it is easy to say make the most of them whilst they are small but its true!
I am still going to bed far too late so completely shattered - but thats me and my control freakish ways!
Thing is when everything gets you down its hard to know where to start so why not write a few things down that you want to get down this week and set realistic goals....once you start to feel better about yourself you will feel more motivated, why not start WW's? I have lost a stone and have two stone to go.....It gets me down every morning when I have nothing to wear, but seeing the results keeps me going.
Cant believe you've read all 3 books!!...I'm just finishing number 2 - love them! I must stop waking up in the morning and feeling sad when I realise Mr Grey doesn't actually exist......he is SO real in my head though

We are going away next week to the Cotswolds for 10 days, we've just bought a touring caravan so really looking forward to some family time - not expecting the weather to be great but we'll be prepared!

Hi ladies
The weather is just awful, summer holiday's for Scottish kids so typically wet.
The baby is wrecking the house, must dash, got a feeling it'll be like this for the next year or so!! Spent 2 days, child free, sorting out tje toy room making it baby safe, putting the older 2 boys toys in their bedroom so that ds2 can play without me nagging about small parts. A full weekend, 15 bin bags later, and is the baby happy?? No still wants to play with wires. I give up!! xxxx
