Huge congrats Kell!! Hope you have had a wonderful day with your new baby daughter!!!
Can't wait to see some pics. Hope you are feeling a bit recovered this evening and enjoying some baby cuddles
Nothing happening here but I'm quite happy to wait as I'm busy for the next week or so and don't want to miss anything. Anything from next thursday would be great though lol!

Well who knows? I had another check today and nothing is happening.
Baby is doing fine. Because it is Saturday I had to go to the hospital and they had a lot of labouring women.
So while waiting I heard 2 women scream while pushing out their babies, not nice! Brought back some memories.
Enjoy those last weeks ladies.
It's weird because I want to meet our baby but at the same time I know I'll never feel a baby move inside me anymore after this pregnancy, trying to enjoy..

Thanks ladies for all your congratulations I am loving the newborn cuddles! They are amazing!
Lily is doing great, breast feeding is going ok but my milks not come in yet so she's wanting to feed quite a lot, nipples are a little tender when she first latches but that's about it.
Our birth was very straight forward! Had a sweep at 12pm on Thursday by a student midwife, started getting very irregular contractions straight away almost, I kept finding that they would get more regular if I was resting, and almost stop when I was up and about weird!
By 8pm they were 15mins apart so called dp's mum to be on call for ds2 she decided to come over then and stay so she was definatly there.
Went off to bed at about10:30, laying down the contractions got to about 7mins apart and were quite moderate so we called labour ward to warn them I'd be in that night, at 12:30 we called back to say they we're 5mins apart they told us to come in. From home to hospital (6mins) I had 3 contractions lol we got in and settled was given gas and air and examined was 5-6cm and from there on my contractions came thick and fast! I didn't have any other pain reliefe I did get to a stage where I asked for some but I was just about pushing then so no chance!
I was up on my knees leaning over the head board the midwife said 'oh I'll just get a pad as your waters haven't gone' and right on que I have a contraction my body pushes and pop lol next contraction her head was born and then her body.
It was all so quick in the end
When she was born she looked just like ds2! Like his double!! Now she's looking more like mummy
Here she is with a very proud daddy!

My three babies

And Lily Elizabeth smith

Indira I hope things start soon for you, I had they very same scared thoughts when I heard the lady in the room next to me crowning! Wow did that make me anxious, was a bit late by then tho lol!
Journey is your husband around now? Or still away?

Oh Kell your pictures made me tear up! Lily is so beautiful! I adore the big brothers too!
I'm so happy you updated us and shared her birth story!
Hope my baby will pop out that quickly too, that's the part I fear most:/
Journey I have been taking caullophyllum, drinking raspberry leaf tea for a week now, ate pineapple a couple of times, we BD, I swam almost every day...I think baby just isn't ready yet.
I was patient untill yesterday, now it's starting to get annoying..
How are things going for you, how are your BH?

Kell - What an amazing story, Sounds so text book and straight forward. One more story to put a first timer's mind at ease
Thank you..
As for my DH he is back for the weekend, Heading off again on Tuesday back on Thursday night so not to bad this week.
Then the weekend after just one over night trip flying. Then he'll be home for a good three week i think
Today has been horrid! The weather is still hitting 42oC My feet just keep getting bigger, BH are every 20 or so mins. I'm hot frustrated and annoyed that my body wont cool down.

Kell she is absolutely gorgeous, congrats again!
Indira- hope things start to get going for you soon, can't wait to find out what you are having lol! Good luck and keep us updated, it HAS to happen soon.
Belle- nice to hear from you
Journey- good that your dh will be home for so long. I have found the heat really hard to bear during this pg. I have always had summer babies but this time I'm really struggling to sleep when it is hot. I ordered a 'chillow' which is a cool pillow (not frozen or chilled in fridge) that helps cool you during the night, I love it! Might be worth looking up on amazon?
