I had ds1 in our room, we brought a bassinet but ended up leaving that in his room and used the pram that had a bassinet on it I found it so much easier because I could wheel him where ever I wanted to.. Id have him sleep out in the lounge room through the day with the tv on and id do my usual house work he was used to it and even now we can have company over at night time and he sleeps through... This baby I will be doing the same ... I think my ds grew out of that bassinet at 4 months old and then went to his cot in our room. I also had music playing in my bedroom for him through the day and I did that until he was about 18 months old through day time.
Oh something I wanted to ask.... With ds1 I had no idea what I was doing I had never even changed 1 nappy in my life!!! Anyway in hospital the midwife would wrap him and he loved it so I did it too.. He would feed , nappy change and then sleep such a good baby we were very spoilt but we had to wrap him and we ever wrapped him until he was 22 months old!!!!!! It was really no problem until he was getting stronger and could get out of it and wake up because he was cold. My d/h doesnt want to do it again but I say if they like it and sleep then why not? Did any of you girls wrap your babies?

Do you mean swaddling, pinkin? Yes, I did that with all my babies when they were tiny. With my twins I probably kept them swaddled till maybe 3 months when they started to escape, but with ds3 he escaped earlier - maybe 2 months.

What I did use for all of them were sleepsacks - fleece ones in the winter and cotton ones in the summer. It's a great alternative to blankets, as they're far safer and they can't kick them off and end up cold - our house gets really chilly in the winter so this is important to me. I kept my twins in sleepsacks until they were almost 3 (though by that age I had toddler ones that had feet in them), and I credit that for me being able to keep them in their cribs for so long since it made them unable to climb out.

UGH, I am so emotional right now! I failed my 1-hour glucose test by ONE POINT and now I have to go back for the 3-hour one (which will actually be most of my day because it's technically 4 hours for full testing and then a class afterwards if I don't pass that).

I think the most frustrating part is that I had no issues with DS1. Then this time around I started 20lbs lighter AND I'm waaay more healthy this time, in general. I know it's possible everything is fine and things could be much much worse...but I'm just sort of annoyed right now and don't have anyone around at the moment to talk to.
