How many girl mums used Calcium / Magnesium ?

I get very little calcium in my diet and wondered at first if it was because of my lack of calcium but then read something from Atomic on here about calcium and decided not to to include it in my sway - Now ive seen a study on the internet today that said a diet high in calcium can help sway girl and because ive never had it before Im wondering whether it may just be the key to my baby girl but dont want to take it and do more harm than good so was going to re red atomics article on it but cant find it ? Can anyone post me the link please and offer any advice Thanks

http://genderdreaming.com/forum/tryi...roversial.html (three parts, read all three, links are at the bottom of the first one)

The 'diet high in calcium' is just the same old French Gender Diet that's been around since the 70's, same thing that IG Diet is based on. Tons of people have tried it and gotten opposites. It's very likely that whenever you drastically change your diet (and the FGD is a big change, they cut out red meat, limit meat and vegetables and fruits significantly, and contrary to popular belief, dairy is NOT unlimited on the FGD either) you will be more likely to conceive girls because your body takes note of the change in diet.

The Oxford study, which is a much better done study than anything supporting FGD, found that moms who went onto conceive boys ate MORE cal than moms who conceived girls (there's a link to this study in one of the Calcium Conundrum essays)

My experience - got three boys where DH and I were eating TONS of dairy, DS 4 was a sway opposite where I was taking massive cal/mag/Vit. D supplements as per the FGD, then got a girl eating no dairy and taking no cal-mag supps at all.

I have always been a big fan of dairy and a borderline vegetarian. My eating habits got me five boys! I am definitely cutting it down to only skimmed milk in my tea and an ounce of emmental on a matzo twice a week. No more Greek yohgurt for me..

i always eat/drink alot of dairy. so everytime i swayed boy i cut it thinking dairy was a girl sway. however dh never wanted to sway with me, he thought it was silly. and he's addicted to ice cream. i got 7 girls while swaying for boys. this time we stopped trying but he decided to diet ( too much ice cream) he cut all dairy. low and behold its a boy. i wasnt swaying but i sometimes wonder if dh has more to do with swaying then i orginally thought or after 7 daughters if it was just finally my turn to have a son.

I have 3 boys and thought long and hard about whether or not to include cal/mag supps in my sway. I decided to based on the fact that with all 3 of my boys I got very little calcium. I do not drink milk and am not really a fan of dairy in general, so I basically have done everything opposite of what got me 3 boys. I am in the 2ww so it will be a while before I know if I am A) pregnant and B) carrying a boy or girl if so. By doing everything opposite I have basically decided that if it is a boy, it was just meant to be

I've always been a huge diary drinker, and have two boys. I didn't eliminate diary from my diet, just lowfat/nonfat with NO supps and now have a girl coming. I don't like supps because they bring too many nutrients to the table, and I wholeheartedly believe that more nutrients = boys!

I took Ca and Mag - not mega doses, just reasonable doses for the first several months. I actually dropped them about 1 month before conception. I cant say whether they helped or stopping them helped? I wonder if taking them while having a super restricted diet and then stopping them put my body into even more of a shock.

I took cal mag with my two failed sways. I didn't with my last pregnancy and finally got my girl. I have decided not to add it again this time.
