Hi - what a great thread. I'm new to this forum. I've been doing IG for 3 weeks and really struggling with constipation, have stumbled across this site and the diet looks so much better for me. I've dropped about half a stone on the IG already, so I'm hoping I'm not starting 'from scratch'. Not had potatoes/tomatoes/bananas for that time and survived mainly on rice/pasta/milk/yoghurt/green beans/leeks/chicken and poached fish. I'm hoping I can easily move to LE diet.
I'm 36 next year, so we're going to try this cycle anyway. I know that's only 5 - 6 weeks of IG / LE, but I don't want to wait another cycle. It can be up to 40 days in length too.
I'm supplementing with cranberry, calcium and magnesium.
I have some UK specific questions if anyone is able to answer - would be great.
Is Fybogel OK? (Metamucil is so much more expensive)
Do any of the sweeteners contain more aspartame? I've got canderel in the cupboard and going to steal the canderel in peppermint tea idea.
So glad I found this forum - so many ideas on this thread, thank you thank you thank you.
GL to everyone!

Hi Girls
I am now nearly 8 weeks pregnant so I am thinking about passing on for free all the extra herbs/vitamins I bought to sway. Is anyone here planning to sway that is local to Dorset/Hampshire? I just think I have lots of things that would be sad just to bin so if anyone is local to me and would like these things please send me a message, I have hubbies and minex1999

Hi,
Can anyone recommend good PH tests please?
I could only find EcoCare cotton swabs, which are hard to read.

Hi I'm new and in the UK
have been on LE diet for around 2 weeks and hope to start ttc in December. I'm taking cranberry supplements and vitex. Plan to take zirtec and use rephresh before dtd. I've just ordered some vaginal ph sticks on amazon that look really good, I tried the litmus paper but it didn't seem to work with cm. These are sticks I think u insert inside u and they tell u the ph. I haven't received them yet so not sure if they are any good. And i use the clear blue digital opk, the one with the smiley face. I used them when we were ttc my ds (wasn't swaying either way then) and they were pretty good. Re sweetener I am using the silver spoon sweet and low one. It says aspartame based sweetener but I don't know if one is better than the other.

I use Candarel in peppermint tea! Two cups a day - am/pm. And then I drink 7UP Free which has Aspartame in. It's also got Pectin which is used to regulate diabetes, so it does something to the bloodsugar, but I don't know the amount and I'm sure its negligible anyway.
I'm using metforming and will be taking clomid once we start TTCing so I'm trying to negotiate my sway attempt around those things. Don't want to ruin my chances of having a baby full stop! Its a bit of a minefield out there when you've got PCOS =/2005

They sell coconut water at tesco for 86p a can! Low protein, sugar and calories - excellent for upping potassium levels if low. I found them in the free from/foreign (?) section with the rubicon and other types of drinks.
