This made me laugh so hard. It is a weird double standard, isn't it? Like we should encourage girls to be sassy and bitchy--why? Do people think that is the same as being a strong woman who stands up for herself? No, you can be a strong woman without being a bitch!

I for one do NOT want my daughters to be sassy and bitchy, and I am constantly getting on my oldest about her attitude. I do not allow eye rolling, exasperated sighs, or rudeness. SHe needs to be polite to people! The same goes for my son.

As far as the vasectomy, I would expect that all men would love to keep having unprotected sex, so why not do it, rather than be forced into a life of condoms? Because that is what will happen to my DH. He flat our WILL NOT have the big V, ever. He has told me that many times.

Oh, and I am also a little worried today. The baby isn't moving as much as it usually does. It does move some if I poke at it, but it usually is doing cartwheels in there. Could it just behaving an "off" day, or should I be worried?

Hobber - I have days where my normally very active baby is chill. I notice it on very hot days, and also on days when I'm on the move a lot. Yesterday, when I spent the whole day cleaning, I think the baby slept all day - probably my constant movement rocked her to sleep. Once I lay down in bed at night, she MORE than made up for it by doing a gold-medal worthy gymnastics routine in there!

I hope it is just resting. I have been sitting down for long periods, and that is usually when I feel stuff the most, but haven't felt a whole lot aside from a few stretches. I hope all is well in there.

Hobber, has bub picked up yet? I find mine goes quiet when I am most active!!

So I am now 33+2 and nesting BIG time! Have had a suspected hind leak 2 nights ago too. Nothing to worry about though. Belly has dropped so low, scan this week to see how big he is. Don't think he is far away now..
    Fathers Day baby!

Just woundering does anyone have any tips on preventing stretch marks? I got a few with my first ds on my lower stomach which started at about 34 weeks when he was growing so fast.. I know I am probably a bit late to start now but I dont want to get anymore and the ones I have they are so faded you wouldnt really know they were there. I have heard Bio Oil is good but I should of strted that early on.. Is there anything else I could try?

I gave up on stretch marks long ago. I thought I'd avoided them with my twins, until right near the end of my pregnancy I caught a glimpse of my belly in the mirror and realized the underside was covered in stretch marks. I got more - on the top side this time - with ds3.
In the last month or so I've been getting tons with this pregnancy.

They always seem to fade somewhat after the baby is born, and honestly I'm far more concerned about my 'twin skin' (loose skin) I was unable to get rid of even while a size 0 to concern myself too much with stretch marks. My bikini days are long over. Sigh...

My in-utero resident always slows down if I'm doing too much or not drinking enough water. Or sometimes I do just have a slow day...growth spurts?

Stretch marks are unavoidable. It's all genetics. I got them when I went through puberty, so I knew I would get them with pregnancy. With DS1, they showed up about 34 weeks. I don't have any new ones yet and my old ones haven't turned red again. I'm sure it's only a matter of time! You could try to take fish oil supplements or just get some plain ol' Jojoba Oil or Shea Butter. Those are the most similar to the skin's own oils.
