New here thinking of swaying for girl!

Hi I have a 2 yr old little boy and were going to start ttc no 2 in September! We only want 2 children really and have been indecisive about trying to sway the odds for a girl! Hitch has led me to
Join here to ask some questions!

I'm thinking of starting some suplements, magnesium and cranberry, I'm
Already taking folic acid. Was going to take calcium but think I got the wrong one from what ive read so I'm thinking of drinkin lots of ribiena with calcium added, do you think this is ok to do?

I'm thinking of trying a 3 day cut off but not sure to do it with frequant release or abstaining yet, with ds we abstained 4-5 day as dp works away alot then we dtd lots over the weekends, I didn't know when I ov'd as cycles were long after coming off the pill, but the cycle we concived I must have ov'd sooner as I got a pos preg test when I thought I was ov'ing.

I'm trying to loose weight too, don't want to get into it too strongly
But I figure these few things can't do any harm to try.

Any advice anyone can give would be great, I'm sure I'll have more questions to come! Thanks

    Hi TFno2 and Welcome
If you want information about swaying for your girl, then you are in the right place. There are lots of information here in the threads and all the girls around here are so supportive. About the supplements, I'm taking cranberry and magnesium too. Also taking folic acid, acidophilus to help lowering PH and Saw Palmetto, this also sways girl. I used to take Calcium when I was on the IG diet, but reading threads over here I found out that lots of calcium may even sway boys, so I discontinued having supplements and just taking calcium in my diet. I'm doing a cutoff too, or at least I'll try cause I don't always pinpoint ovulation even with digital opks, so I'm trying a cutoff of 3 days , then do frequent release and try again on 2days before Ovulation. If ov is late, I'll try again. You'll find out that timing is not the most important factor here, but the diet is. It's also important that DH has low sperm count as low sperm count sways girl. Good luck with you swaying...hope we meet again in threads!!

I put the timing in higher regards than my diet. We did a 3 day cutoff with frequent release. In my research there is more evidence that timing works better than diet change.

Thanks all, it's so confusing! Very hard to decide the best way to go with so much conflicting info/opinions!

Please read http://genderdreaming.com/forum/gend...le-timing.html for the case against timing. Timing is by far the most studied aspect of gender swaying, it's been studied for almost 50 years now and if there were anything to it at all, it would be proved beyond a shadow of a doubt by now.

We have people on this site who are getting girls in Shettles boy timing doing LE Diet, after 2,3,4 or even more cutoff opposites.

    Hi and welcome TF!!

We don't do things the same way that they do on other sites, we sort of present both sides and then let you make up your own mind as to what makes sense to you. It's quickest for me to post links to things I've already written rather than explaining everything over again so that's what I'll do - these prob. won't answer all your questions but at least a step in the right direction. If it seems confusing at first, please just ASK - I promise the info on this site all holds together and makes sense, even when it conflicts with other sites.

For the case against calcium and swaying, please read this: http://genderdreaming.com/forum/tryi...roversial.html This is a three part essay with links in the first one to the other two. Several of us have gotten girls taking NO cal-mag after getting boys while eating a lot of dairy and taking the cal-mag.

Most of us are taking baby aspirin instead of cranberry becasue of safety concerns and you can read about that here: http://genderdreaming.com/forum/ttc-...echniques.html

"abstain" of 4-5 days is NOT abstain. You have to abstain for 7-10 days for abstain to sway pink. Intercourse every 4-5 days is actually blue friendly, not pink (altho it's pretty likely that frequency is not a make or break sway tactic) http://genderdreaming.com/forum/gend...pink-blue.html

You may also want to read these two essays which explain a bit about the differences between this site and the other sites. http://genderdreaming.com/forum/gend...sh-anyway.html and http://genderdreaming.com/forum/gend...ypothesis.html
