Flava I am so glad you checked in.
Pregnancy is hard on women, all the hormones and emotions and the scared feelings that come with starting from scratch again is a shitty feeling. Most of us understand the things you are going through and are here for you regardless if you are happy, sad, or just plain pissed off. I definitely don't think you are a downer at all, we all just want to make sure you are ok and be able to vent, yell, scream, or just throw some swear words out there(that usually makes me feel better). I hope that what your midwife recommended will help, and if not we are here to listen. xoxo

I'm sorry you are feeling so low. You have a lot to take care of with your girls right now and I'm sure adding pregnancy to the mix is hard. I've never had to entertain taking antidepressants but after having DS, I was at an all point low emotionally. I couldn't help it and I was just sad all the time. I told my OB at my follow up and he did prescribe something for me. I decided not to take it, started working out and just fought my way through it. I took a long time to even back out.
Just stay in communication with your midwife and don't be ashamed to ask for help if you need it.

FLava, glad to see you on here! I wish you were having an easier pregnancy, but I am glad you told your midwife about it. Hopefully the things she suggested will help. Please come on here to vent or complain or anything--we are all here for you!

Congrats on your little man Flava <3
I had a hard pregnancy with my last one and I will tell you, a B-Complex and fish oil really helped. I also tried to walk or do yoga several days a week and that helped. Another thing that helped was eating enough, because I wasn't getting enough to eat.
Holding my baby was the most wonderful moment for me, even after a hard pregnancy. I hope it will be the same for you. Keep talking to your midwife. Maybe do some shopping for your little man even if if you don't feel like it will help too <3Wife to a sweetie DH& Mama to:

Awe Flava, I'm so excited and sad for you. Like the other ladies said hopefully his birth will bring you the joy you need but if not don't be afraid of meds. I had severe ppd after dd2 and mild after dd3 and I wouldn't wish it on anyone. Keep talking to your midwife and be totally honest. Don't pretend it's better or worse then it is, they can't help if they don't know all the facts. Gl Hun and big, big hug
