You lot have got me looking in the mirror at my eye veins now!
I've got what is either a V or a downwards arrow in my left eye, and kind of lines or ticks in my right eye but they are a bit too far out to be at 5 and 7.
I ordered a doppler the other day so hoping that arrives in a week or so and that I can find the heartbeat, I needed to get something to help reassure me after the spotting at the weekend. Thankfully I haven't had any more and my morning sickness was so bad yesterday that I had to sit still most of the morning. I think it is because I got up and started rushing around getting the boys ready and didn't get anything to eat.
I'm actually kind of enjoying not knowing the gender of the baby at the moment, I think it is because I am convinced it is going to be another boy, so while I don't know for definite I can at least dream about it being a little girl and look at girly baby clothes etc. I'm actually dreading finding out the gender in November if I'm honest, I am scared of the disappointment I will feel when they say it is another boy as I know it is just awful to feel like that about something as precious as a baby. I have a friend who can't have children so I feel really selfish that I'm lucky enough to be expecting my third and I'm hoping and praying it is a girl.

Mummy a Doppler will really help ease your worry and if your lucky enough you will be able to hear bubba at 10wks...I could with my boys but with this one I really struggled to find it...still I love having a listen b4 bed
specially as I'm not feeling much yet every now and then I feel little bubbles can't wait till I get full on kicks
. btw if any UK ladies want a Doppler I have 2 hi bebe ones for sale 1 brand new and 1 used 4 timesalso a tens machine I used to hire them out and birth pools but I dissolved the business some time ago now so inbox if interested
I also no what u mean about dreading the scan its a hard choice to make but I definitely think it helps you to prepare yourself for the birth and gives u time to bond and organize stuff! We all have to keep positive and let's face it we all know we will love it regardless of genderds1 2008

You're so right homebirthing, and I would rather feel that disappointment at a scan and then get over it then feel it when I'm holding my beautiful baby.
Of course, we're all going to get our desired gender so nothing to worry about!
I went for a doppler that has the display to show you the heart rate, can't remember the make! I think I was 11 weeks when I heard ds1 heartbeat and 13 weeks when we heard ds2 heartbeat. I'm hoping as I'm slimmer after the LE diet that I should be able to hear the heartbeat from about 11 weeks again. I've got an appointment at the midwife when I'm 12 weeks so if I can't find it hopefully she will be able to.
I found a video clip last night of when our two boys first met, my youngest was 17 months and I can't believe how young he was looking at the video! He is sitting in the hospital chair with his newborn baby brother on his knee (with dh holding him) giving him kisses on the head and saying 'Awwww'. Very cute! Reminded me big style of why boys are so brilliant
We must have been totally insane having them so close together though haha!!
I love the idea of a gender reveal party but don't really have enough friends over here yet to do something like that. I would like to think of a cool way to tell my mum though if it is a girl as I know she would be absolutely over the moon. I like the idea of sending her a pink rose with a note saying 'guess what we're having?!'DS1 - 4.5yrsDS2 - 3yrs

Went to the doctor today, she said try not to stress everything might still be ok. Had blood taken and ultrasound tomorrow so I guess I'll know after that. Thanks so much for your thoughts and prayers ladies.

Mummy..my reveal with my mom didn't go as planned.. We ate out with my mom and sister...and then I went to the bathroom..and then went to our car and DH was an idiot and took both our kids outside to play right outside the window where they were...bringing their attn to me walking by the windows with a big box..
Well..they followed me in and I went to get my mom from the table and said "We have something for you..an early bday present"..anyway... As she opened the box..pink and purple balloons came floating out. She stops and said "I knew it!"
And turns to my sister and says "Didn't I just say this at the table.. That they are going to get something to say it's a girl" DH took one pic and was just a jerk....HE did not care about it...I was mad. But she was indeed happy and stood staring and smiling at the balloons then held them and said "Well thank you..that was a very cute idea"
If I could do it over I would of tied the balloons to her chair before we sat down...or waited until after dinner...Oh well...plan out the precious moments you can't get back!
The balloons..minus a hot pink one out of the picture.
