How long have you been on the diet navy and how much have you lost?

I went vegetarian in end of march/April. Then I started the diet loosely July 1st. Then went strict August 1st. I have lost 10 pounds so far. Hoping to lose a couple more before ovulation next week! Current weight is 118. I was 133 when I conceived DS1 and 137 when I conceived DS2.

I ate 1500-1800 cals a day, and I was satisfied with my foods and not hungry all day long either (I think because I could have sweets and pop and things that you can't ahve on other diets) and conceived a girl.
I totally agree! The IG diet was awful and I don't know how I lasted so long on it - sheer bloody-mindedness, I guess. Although, my hubby would just call me plain old stubborn! The LE diet is really easy because you can actually buy loads of weight-watching foods like choc muffins (aren't as nice as proper ones, but sooooo much better than anything on IG diet!) crisps and sweets! I think the last time I ate this unhealthily was at uni, but I ate much much more then. I've lost 9lb in 3 weeks and that does concern me as i'm struggling to get to 1500cal a day as I'm not too hungry with what I'm eating. Sweets are fab for calories but I didn't have any idea just how few types of sweets are suitable for vegetarians as I love gummy sweets! I'm hoping I can maintain my weight now, although I'm sure I weighed slightly less after IG diet, and that I conceive very soon. Good luck with it all!

Adding calories by having lemonade, alcohol free beer, crisps and sweets seems very weird to me as other than red wine (which I do love) I normally eat pretty healthily. However it is soooooooo the opposite of my usual diet and that which I ate when I conceived my boys so I am very optimistic! Having a BBQ the other day for my brother and his new girlfriend wasn't too clever though - mmmm the smell of the homemade beef and chorizo burgers! (Had to have a little bit - yummy!) So after one week I've lost four pounds having an average of 1500 calories, 40g fat, 185g carbs, 40g protein and 700mg sodium. Maybe need to push the 1500 towards 1800 then.

Add on question: in order to add aspartame into my diet, I'd need to consume some sugar free stuff right? But these won't add to my calories so what if I'm full? Would a few sugar free sweets do? How long should aspartame be in the diet? All the way through or AF-O?

Thanks for that Fish2012. Just checked and Robinsons no added sugar squash and Diet Pepsi both have aspartame, thank goodness!! Not sure if Diet Coke has though.
