How does being sick during O sway?

I should be O'ing soon, and have just come down with an awful cold. No fever, but I'm sneezing like crazy and my nose is dripping like a faucet. I've read that being sick around O time sways pink, but how does it sway pink? By lowering fertility somehow, or something else? I'm just curious.

Sweet baby boy, you are loved and missed more than you will ever know.
There's not a day that goes by that I don't think of you and wonder what
you would have been like. I love you and miss you so much.
Rest now, my baby, in the loving arms of Jesus.

We don't know for sure, it may be a combo of more hostile CM + delayed ovulation or some whole other reason entirely. The odds are, your body probably doesn't "want" to get pg while you are sick and so sort of puts the kibosh on anything that it can control to make odds of conception lower.

Hmmm, that's interesting. Thanks for your reply, Atomic. It's strange though, in my case, because even with being sick and taking Clomid, I still seem to be making a good amount of EWCM yesterday and today. I've heard Clomid dries you up like crazy, so I'm not sure why I'm still having a lot of EWCM. I hope being sick with a cold sways a little bit pink for me, however it works, because this EWCM is making me a little freaked, haha. (And I don't want to take any antihistamines while on Clomid because you've said that's a definite no-no).

Just because you can't see changes in your CM, it doesn't mean they aren't there.

I don't personally think pH has anything to do with it, but as long as it worked for you, who cares!!
