Hi Babushka, Thank you for your post, it made me feel a lot better. People are so strange, its very hard to understand them sometimes. I think people say things and never realise how insensitive they are. Fingers crossed we both get our own little girls soon. cheers Jude

Hi Kiesse, what do you think about these for negative ions (see below link)? There are others for sale on trademe as well. Very cheap so I guess it wouldn't hurt to buy one.

    Hi Jude
Sorry I have been flat out over the past few days! At work at the mo, so can only be quick but will try get on a bit later and do a decent post, i will also check out the trade me stuff.

I got preg with my boys sept and dec, i was just sort of presuming that alot of the people on here would be from the northern hemisphere so it would be opposite? not sure, see most girls i know are born in jan through to april, so this would be opposite for you again? itslike evrything is opp for you? If you send me you DOB and the dates you concieved your boys ill have a look on the bio chart thingy for you, PM me if you want, not sure if we can as i havnt ventured that far into the sight yet.

Lol i am small too, actually i have gained a few kg in the last month or two! but i am around the 55kg mark usually, so a size 8-10 I never eat breakfast anyway, i usually ahve a huge morning tea at 10am lol. but i am going to make a meal plan, skip breakfast and have first snack at 11 which will be something like a muslie bar or something around the same portion, just enought o take the huger edge off, will suss out the right fruits and have those as snacks then pasta/rice dishes for tea but will have to cook a separate dinner for kids! lol.
the things we do for our children, oh my! lol, well better get off here so i not get into trouble but will talk soon xx

Oh and i hope you and the family are ok after that last aftershock in the weekend. What part of chch you in?

Did you skip breakfast with your boys? I will hunt through my notes and see if I can pinpoint exact conception day and send you the information. With my second boy I had it all marked on the calendar so I will see if I can find it. I really want to plan a menu to follow as I am finding the diet quite confusing to work out. I am thinking of buying the French gender book (or if they have the information on here I think you can access it if you become a member). I think the French gender diet is easier on you than the in-gender diet? I will have a good look at both to see what one I think will give me the best chance of a girl. Not looking forward to not being able to eat but I still have heaps of reading to do before I actually work out with do with this diet. We are actually in Rolleston about 10 minutes out of ChCh. We were very close to the September earth quake whereas the current one is close to ChCh city. We are very lucky as the land at Rolleston has stood up to the quakes very well. Really don’t want any more though as I am not sure how much more our house can take before we get major damage. They just come out of nowhere and give you such a fright. Anyway I am still trying to get my head around all this swaying information. Just as well we wouldn’t start trying until the end of year as I think it will take me ages to try and sort out a definite plan. I start back at work end of August so would like to have something sorted by then as working with kids and a hubby is very full on and stressful. I will need to try and minimise stress, maybe that’s why I have boys as I get stressed easy and find it really hard working and juggling young kids when they get sick!!

I lived in Rangiora for about 5 years so i know the canterbury area fairly well! what a relief your house has held up!

I have never been a breakfast eater so never had it with the boys or before i concieved them but i had the perfect boy diet, always had coffee, coke etc. Loved mince pies, love mash tatas, sausages, beef, chips and lots of junk food! lol, never really drank much water so im suprised that im not the size of a house, luckily i was blessed with a fast metabolism! haha.
so im looking at changing my diet so no potatoes for me which will be my hardest part as we have them just about everynite, either mashed, roast, chips etc. I will look at cooking more past and creating like a chicken or pork salad for my dinner.
Isnt the french diet book thing all in french? it will be wuite interesting. Im like you, i need a plan for food as i love it too much, i could cope for a week but its gonna be hard changing it for so long! my main thing is to get my ph right down and keep it that way so once i figure that out ill be sweet! im gonna do that and include a few old wives tail in there too i think along with the bio chart

Hi Kiesse, what's the age gap between your two boys? I am trying to think what would be the smallest age gap I could handle? My older boy is 4 so its not been that bad as he is relatively independent. But I think a small toddler and a baby would be very hard work.

Well i concieved ds2 on Ds1 2nd birthday! so there is 2 yrs 8.5 months between them, i would have preferrd them either a little bit closer in age like 18 months or waited a year later when DS1 was 3 before concieving as DS1 was going through terrible 2s! So my ds2 will be 3 1/2 when we start ttc which is good as he will understand a little bit more as ds1 asked me to take the baby back to the hospital after a few days of bub being home! lol
I just found out yesterday i have PCOS, have had bad pains in tummy for years but nothing a bit of nurofen didnt fix but last week it was really bad so went to doc and they gave me emergency ultrasound thinking it could of been an etopic but apparently my ovaries are showing cysts so have to go back next thurs and discuss further with her and get some bloods etc done. so im not sure how this will affect my sway, have read a little bit up on it now so i may have a little bit too much testostorone as well which is sometimes part of the condition, so im a bit confused now. went off the pill to get my periods regular and now havnt had a period in 7 weeks! driving me nuts, never had irregular periods before and if this is what i have it has never affected my fertility as i have had 2 babies and one miscarriage years ago and got preg within 2 months of ttc! so yea, might have to find something to help with this, gonna go to health store i think

Hi Kiesse, sorry to hear you haven't been feeling well. Fingers crossed the doctors can sort you out so you start to feel better soon. I think some of the treatments for PCOS sway girl though especially if they give you Clomid? I would love to get my hands on Clomid but I think you can only get it through a specialist for fertility issues? That’s interesting that you think an 18 month or around a 4 year old age gap would be good. I have found a 4 year old age gap to be very good as my older son can help me out, is independent and understands what is going on. I really wish we had been able to have another baby earlier though as it may have been easier to have a third child i.e. I could have been on my third baby now! But I spent 16 weeks in hospital in order to save/have my older son and then needed an operation in order for me to not have to do bed rest in hospital for my second son. This time though I think we would be looking at around 18 month age gap as I am getting old and running out of time! I feel a bit sacred with such a small age gap though as I think it will be so hard with a new baby not sleeping, crying and wanting to feed all the time and having 2 other boys to look after. Anyway I will still plan my sway and we will see what the new baby does over the next few months and then make a decision if we will have another baby later in the year. When we have a bad day I think we won’t but I have a nagging feeling that I would regret not trying again for a girl. Anyway I put up a thread about calcium but haven’t had any answers. Do you know what calcium supplement you will buy? Califort has Vitamin D in it which can sway blue but I think you need vitamin D to help absorption? I would be interested to know what calcium/magnesium supplement you decide to use? It’s hard to find calcium citrate as well, I think most are calcium carbonate which I have read is more alkaline so you really want calcium citrate? Also I am not sure about bread here. Do you know if we can buy low sodium bread or would we need to make our own??

I think clomid is if there are fertility problems, which i havnt had at all in the past, so have spoken with another member and she said metformin is what she was on which can help sway pink! if i do get any clomid ill send some your way! lol
Yea i was told calcifort by someone, my health shop here is fantastic so im going to go and speak to him as he had some other stuff which he was gonna give me to try as well it has vitex and a few other things needed, so ill get the name and let ya know!
Sometimes i look at the boys and think NEVER again, the terrible twos, the tantrums the not listening but then when they give me hugs and kisses i just wanna do it all over again.
I know if i didnt have anymore i would regret it 100%, im going to give my sway 150% and if i get another boy then so be it, i guess i was just never meant to have a girl which there will be a reason for and ill be happy with that, but just need to try, third time luck isnt it!
