September Chit Chat for Ladies Due in Sept/Oct/Nov

Does anyone have any good come-back comments when people say things along the lines of 'gee, you're getting big'?!
I am still feeling great, the baby is a normal size, and I don't even think I'm that big (yet). One lady just about fell over when I said it was my third. WTF?! Next time I've decided to say it's my 7th, just to see what the reaction is!

"Well I'd rather have a big healthy baby rather than a little scrauny one.. right!?"
That's what I would say!!

Well that is right Butterfly!! I have quite a small looking tummy people are shocked when I say I have 7 weeks to go and they say " Must be a tiny one in there " and I say well no actually it is a big one! Why cant people just shut up and keep things to themselves!
If no one has guessed I am quite angry today! I cant seem to tolerate anything atm!

So, ladies - it's nearly 3am here, and I'm still at home. I decided the gush wasn't my waters after all - I have tons and tons of yellow, pink-tinged, ew discharge everytime I have a contraction (which I assume is just more of my plug), and after close examination of my pad, I think that's what the gush was.

The contractions stayed every 10-15 minutes apart all evening, so I decided to take a warm shower and try to get some sleep. I think I did actually sleep for maybe an hour, but then the contractions got intense again.

So now, here I sit alone in my living room, having really nasty, painful contractions every 7-10 minutes. Soooooo tired. I'm hoping if I move around a bit instead of lying in bed I can get them to speed up enough that we can get things started.

awwww Mocha I hope things start to pick up for you. As for the alone part I get that!!! This whole process is feeling alone i think. It can be just horrible no one else understands!

Aww Mocha. It really sounds as though baby isn't too far away. I only ever get that discharge you're describing in full blown labour. I bet she arrives some time today xxx

ps is the midwife coming out to see you this morning?

She told me she'd be calling to check in. She said she might want me to have a non stress test.
