Hey ladies! I am 5 weeks and yesterday I had a little bit of brown discharge and today I had a bit more. It's strange, yesterday was like brown tinged ewcm and today it is like brown paste. Not a ton, just a bit in my undies, wouldn't put a pad on or anything. Starting to get a bit freaked out, I called my doctors office yesterday and spoke to a nurse, she said it was probably old IB since I never had any spotting before but then today there was more then yesterday. Anyone else had this?

I had bleeding with all 3 of my boys like that...
I had low progesterone & they gave me a pill to take. I'd just stay on top of it with the doctor's office so they run some labs.
I honestly don't think you have anything major to worry about...especially since the blood is dark
Good luck, CVD and congrats on the BFP!!Proud mom of 3 sweet boys...
and one BEAUTIFUL little girl!

Yeah I don't think you have anything to worry about either. I know exactly what you're having, I had a lot of that streaked with mucous with DS3, FREAKED me out because I was so worried about incompetent cervix (I went early with DS1 and DS2). Anyways, if it's brown like that it's old blood or the cervix getting a bit irritated, but as long as it doesn't turn bright red it's fine.
So no worries, as long as it doesn't change to crimson or turn into AF-like flow, it's normal. But you can always ask for them to check your hcg/progesterone levels if you're really concerned.Me (38) and DH (38)

I had no spotting at all with DS1, but had a little bit with DS2 early on. Mine was pinkish-red though, and the doctor's office had me come in right away (it ended up being a SCH, so nothing to worry about - it resolved on its own weeks later). However, I do remember them asking me on the phone if the blood was pink/red or brown. It seemed as though it wouldn't be a problem or anything to worry about if it's brown (as PP's have said - brown means old blood and not really anything to be alarmed about).
Either way, take it easy and don't lift anything heavy. If it turns to red and/or you start having very heavy cramping, I'd say call your doc and insist on being seen. Otherwise, try not to worry (I know, easier said than done!)2008

Sweet baby boy, you are loved and missed more than you will ever know.
There's not a day that goes by that I don't think of you and wonder what
you would have been like. I love you and miss you so much.
Rest now, my baby, in the loving arms of Jesus.

I had the same exact thing for the past 2-3 days. I was on my feet all day last Friday at an amusement park, so I think that may have been what caused it. It was a dark tan, then lightened up the next couple days, and very minimal, so I am not worrying about it. I did have real spotting with my other 2, but it was a few days after DTD and my OB said I had a very vascular Cervix. I'm sure it's fine, just go in if it turns into real blood.
