I have a name picked for both sexes. Dh says he is not sure about either name and I say I am dead set on them. I don't worry too much since he said the same about our first two kids' names which I picked early on in the pregnancy as well!

Maybe you could just start calling him by that name and DH will come to love it by force, haha!

I really hope I haven't upset any1 tonight the last thing I wanna do is ram my news down your necks!!! I totally understand how u feel mummy, when my friend told me she had a girl I cried because I honestly thought it would never be me, but to my suprise after 2 boys and no sway I'm expecting my long awaited daughter!! Please don't loose hope, you all stand a fab chance of getting your dd as you all swayed hard!

Oh no Hb, don't think for a second you upset me! I'm really sorry if I gave that impression, it was just the happiness I feel for you getting your little girl made me realise how much I really want a daughter too. I am absolutely over the moon for you as I will be when everyone that gets their DGs because I know first hand how badly you want it. As you say you give me hope that it could happen to me. xxx

Good luck for your scan today NC!

I've just got back from my midwife appointment, a new midwife since my old one retired. She was nice and everything but she didn't measure the bump yet which I thought she probably would have, and she said 'oh it is probably too early to hear the heartbeat' which surprised me as my old midwife found the heartbeat at 12 weeks with ds1 and 13 weeks with ds2. I said I had already picked it up on my doppler at home so she said 'oh that's fine then we don't need to do that today'?! My next appointment is a few days after my scan when I will be 19+3 which seems like forever away! I used to feel really reassured by my old midwife but this time I came away feeling like nothing had really been checked properly.

I should really have insisted she try and find the heartbeat etc but as it was all in Norwegian which I still don't find easy I just got a bit thrown by it all and before I knew it the appointment was over.
So I guess the next check I have to know if everything is ok is my scan on the 19th November, I am so glad this is my third pregnancy and not my first!!

oh mummypink can you get a different midwife? I would expect the measurement and heartbeat to be done at every appointment ?!?!
