How can i lower my testosterone?

I have PCOS and will be starting metformin again soon. I know this medicine can lower testosterone. I am also going to skip clomid and take vitex with the met for a few months. I run 3 miles every other day as exercise and i try to do weight watchers. I cant do the girl diet due to my insulin resistance but i can take supplements. I use rephresh and my ph is usually b/t 4 -4.5. I really think my big issue is high testosterone. What else can i do to lower it?

I have read that eating soy, drinking soy milk will reduce testosterone levels. Overexercising does too so the long runs should help. The more cortisol that is present within our bodies the lower our testosterone levels will be. Stress causes an increase in cortisol so would decrease your testosterone level. Short term stress is differnt than long-term stress in the body. Immediate bursts of stress- like before a sporting event or before an isolated event will increase T levels. If you are a worry-wort or suffer from acute or chronic emotional stress, that will decrease your T levels. Normally testosterone is the 30% higher in the morning than the evening.

Metformin and Clomid are best for swaying pink. I would NEVER EVER give up Clomid in favor of vitex. I know Clomid can raise testosterone but Clomid is proven to sway pink.

You can try saw palmetto (although I don't like people taking that with Met and Clomid, I know that some people with PCOS do take them together).

I would try to get the insulin resistance under control by diet and exercise and once that gets better, your T levels will go down naturally. If you can get ahold of the book, "Fertility Foods" by Dr. Jeremy Groll http://www.amazon.com/Fertility-Food...ref=pd_sim_b_3 it is a great resource for controlling PCOS through diet and exercise.
