Folic acid still ok on LE diet?

Ok I am sure that me asking this is probably really silly but hey if we are going to go all out I want to make sure that I am not messing with anything It says to avoid all supplements while on the LE diet but can I still take folic acid? I was also curious if anyone knew if my DH had to to the LE diet as well or just me?? Getting him to give up all that yummy food is just not going to happen also what supplements should he avoid/take???

Thanks in advance for all your answers and support!

Yes you can take folic acid - everyone MUST when TTC and eve before if you can and then obviously through pregnancy.

Hubby doesnt have to do the diet but even things like giving up red meat would be a help. He can take LR to lower sperm count ?

You can take some supps - just nothing that increases your fertility. Things like Saw Palmetto and Vitex are great for a girl sway.

If you look through the stickies and info on the TTC girl pages there is soooo much information that it will probably anser all your questions. xx

YES you need to take folic acid! It's vitally important to try to avoid birth defects. For a girl sway you want folic acid by itself, not combined with a multi/prenatal.

Agree you should take some time and read through the stickies, tonnes of info that'll probably answer most of your questions.

I didn't feel comfortable not taking the full prenatal vitamin while trying to conceive. If it's meant to be a girl then it will be a girl even with the vitamins.

For sure though make it a necessary point to take the folic acid at least.

Licorice Root. It's supposed to reduce his swimmers. Or you could do frequent release (should be in the stickied/FAQ threads) to reduce the volume too.

Someone else will have to chime in with their experience with LR, it's not something my DH has tried.

Yes, folic acid is MANDATORY for all swayers. 1200-1600 mcg while swaying pink.

DH does not need to do diet but if he gives up eggs, meat, and reduces fat, while eating more soy and aspartame drinks, it can help.

Some people have given their husbands cranberry (up to 10,000, but I think it's best to limit it to more like 1500-5000 maximum) and licorice root (450 mg taken 3 times a day, the first 14 days of your cycle ONLY)
