Our last dr did, but he retired right after our last was born.
Mom to a blended family of 5 kids (3 boys, 2 girls), with one more due in late May 2013. We swayed for a girl, but have a sweet baby boy on the way.

So the place that does the private gender scan here...it says you need to have had a diagnostic ultrasound beforehand. The only ultrasound I had was at 8 weeks. Does this mean no gender scan?!
The 8 wk ultrasound is def not diagnostic....DS 1

DD1 our beautiful rainbow baby joined us october 2015. No sway...just miracles.

I think they just want proof that you've been to the doc. I'd take it. If you are concerned, call and ask them if an 8 week scan is ok.

I think it's still considered diagnostic. They look for the heartbeat and to confirm pregnancy/dates, which is a diagnosis.
