Hey coocoo...it is so hard for sure. The NT scan really prepared me, and I told the tech to just show the boy money shot b/c I knew it was there. Sure enough, there it popped up. I was not surprised at all. It just hurts to know I can't buy pink and look forward to all those girly things...but it is what it is. Don't worry...you will be OK. My gd with DS2 was terrible and I got over it quick enough. Don't put a time limit on yourself and just let it take you where you need to.
Blame DH...that feels much better!

I'm sorry you didn't hear pink either NC! He'll be adorable though!! I agree with blaming DH, when he joked that it was my fault I told him nooo way and that he's the one with the super sperm apparently.

Thanks ladies! I am really sad but I will be OK. I knew it was a boy but now it is just sinking in and of course DS1 and DS2 are being rotten and so difficult today. They are fighting and being crazy and am having a hard time with it all

That's interesting. By far, this pregnancy has been a lot easier than with my son. While I only threw up (and just bile at that...) twice with my son, I was HEAVILY nauseated from weeks 5 1/2 to week 9 with it getting slightly manageable until week 11 when it started going away. I had a lot of aversions, it was hard work to eat but I made sure I ate when I could but it was HARD work. The first bite would take me ages to get the courage to put in my mouth. Bleh. I missed a lot of work, as well.
This time? I've been nauseated, sure, but overwhelmingly? Mostly no. I haven't called into work at all. I've been late for work twice (mainly from tiredness, if I'm honest... but one day was because of queasiness.) I can eat most things fine, just so long as I make sure to eat. Sure, some things may not sound good but they don't automatically put me off, per se. I've mostly been feeling okay in the mornings since week 7 and only get a bit uncomfortable right before lunch and then evenings are my most uncomfortable, but mostly it's a really heavy "blaaaaaaahhhhhgggggg" queasiness... but I don't feel like I need to throw up. But night time is about as bad as it gets which isn't that bad, really.
My son I didn't have heartburn until late into the pregnancy. This time I feel indigestion/heartburn daily, for the most part, and constantly not-quite burping.
Just crazy how different two pregnancies are! SO different. I wish it meant something but it may mean nothing at all, it could still be a boy... but still, wacky.Last edited by suregena; October 25th, 2012 at 04:27 PM.

Yes, it's crazy. I thought last time it HAD to be a girl, because it was so much more like my 2nd pregnancy (my girl) than my first (my boy). So when the tech told me boy, I almost couldn't believe it. The ms was worst with the first -- I ended up in the hospital more than once, and that was in my 2nd trimester. Lets hope this one is not a repeat!
