Sort to hear too Rosie
I didn't even belong in this group but I was drawn to it! I know why, as there are a bunch of us having boys and now we have someone to talk to
I'm feeling a lot better about things a week in and actually got a buzz of excitement thinking about my 3 boys! It's a hard pill to swallow nonetheless it just makes me want to give birth that much sooner so I can see him! I don't care if he's not wearing pink
Feel free to pm me and vent, a couple ladies and I have done this already ( I probably vented the loudest) but it really helped, thanks girls7

It's not that I don't think group strep b if the baby gets it, isn't serious. My point was for me, I know it changes day to day (even my Peri confirmed it ) so being negative wouldn't really give me any relief. Although most drs don't test again when you are negative. And they don't test day of delivery regardless, that I know. But being positive would open a can of worms for me that wouldn't be good. Even if negative later the protocol here is positive ever and you get the antibiotics. I am allergic to most antibiotics anyway and we determined before the only one I could take in that instance makes me very ill and they've said you need them for 4 hours. Well ds1 was born an in hour and ds2 shot out after 30 min after we got there so it's a moot point, for me. I do birth in the water though and that is supposed to greatly reduce the risk of transmission if there is any.
Oh and Surgena , my high risk obs, both of them, as long as everything looks well with the baby are very supportive of me birthing at the birth center which is nice. I think they are so used to seeing so many real problems , that doesn't phase them when things are going well.Mommy to DS1 (3)DS2 (1 1/2)

I dont know how to feel about it, on 1 hand i think well yes this boy run has to be good for me, but on the other hand i think it is an opposite run so i am not "safe" and maybe i will be the one to turn the run from boys to girls. I have my 12week scan on Thursday so hopefully they can give me a good nub shot or guess, otherwise i will find out at 16weeks.
