That's because no one knows what is the right thing to do.
I generally recommend starting V and SP 6 weeks before your first attempt, so take it AF-day before expected O 2 months in a row and TTC that second month.
Sudafed for hubby 1-2 hours before. It's ok to give him, men seem to tolerate it better and it is just ONE dose, don't give it to him to days on end.!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

Okay so let me get this straight; I take it ONLY six weeks priar to my very first attempt. But if I don't conceive then get back on it before my second attempt?? still a little confused. also I would really like to get prego in April so do you think I should make my very first attempt in March or stick with April and if I don't conceive in April then would May be better to try and conceive a girl or is March and April or April and May? (make sense?) Are you saying I probably wont get prego my first attempt on V? sorry so much I just don't want to miss my boat with the good girl months thats all..

She is saying you should START it 6 weeks before your first attempt. Meaning take it from right after AF ends until 2 days before you ovulate or expect to get a positive opk. (You take SP and Vitex this way)
If you're taking the Vitex to sway, you're fine to make your attempt whenever...if you're taking it to regulate ovulation or move it up (to lengthen your luteal phase) then it usually takes at least 3 months to see a change.
If you're worried about "girl months" vs. "boy months" - a LOT of people have conceived opposites during these months, Atomic included.
Here's the essay on the seasons and swaying...

Hope this helps...
I will say, you might also want to consider that higher levels of testosterone tend to sway boy, so it's best to try to relax when swaying. ( http://genderdreaming.com/forum/tryi...aysession.html )
Good luck!!Proud mom of 3 sweet boys...

Ya I know I just had some lady tell me to start it 3 months ahead but didn't explain why, and that what I wanted to know and I will be taking V to sway. Also I know women have conceived in oposite girl or boy months but I did read some where where Atomic said if you have the liberty to pick when you want to conceive she suggested doing it in the girl months so yuou have more on your side. And I'm not too worried I originally planned to try and conceive in April that was my plan. Also I think one time Atomic told me to start it first day of AF which is cd1 she didn't say at the end of my AF. thats why I am confused on what everyone is telling me. And when I get a solid sway plan down I'm just gonna go with it and not stress about it thats why I'm getting all my info and my plan down so I'm prepared.

I included the essay on seasons and swaying for you - so you can decide if it's important to you. A lot of ladies do believe in it. Personally, I do not. The Chinese who value boys over girls would have a disproportionate amount of boys over girls - they don't. It also doesn't explain fraternal twins. Boys and girls are born every single day of the year - in fact, my mother and her male nephew share the same birthday.
CD1 is the first day of AF. I didn't take it during AF as it made it much lighter for me...some ladies have said it made it much heavier for them. If you want to take it during AF, it won't hurt anything.Proud mom of 3 sweet boys...

The reason I mentioned taking vitex for 3 months (and I did explain this in your other thread) ... is because it can take up to 3 months to really do its thing to your system. Vitex and Saw Palmetto will CHANGE your cycle somewhat, so the fact that vitex won't harm anything makes it ok to start sooner rather than later and give it a real chance to work well.
Saw Palmetto is not ideal to take for months and months on end. It needs 6 weeks minimum to do what it is going to do, so if you take it for 2 weeks of AF-O (or day before O as Atomic suggested) and then have a 2 week break, and then once AF resumes again take it for the other 2 weeks (ish) you will have done what is required to make it effective for swaying. Does that make sense?
sorry if you felt my answer was a little ambiguous .. I'm a girl swayer too and have been reading up atomic's essays since early this year. I sometimes even now find myself confused and bewildered by certain aspects of swaying.. So I get that it's a bit to take in.

Y I was confused cuz you told me to start it 3 months priar but Atomic only told me 6 weeks priar so to me thats still two different opinions and I was confused, also when atomic told me to start it AF she didn't say at the end of the cycle so to me I assumed she meant the first day of my cycle so it wasn't very clear to me and this swaying stuff and all the terms are new to me so there for I was confused but now I understand what you ladies are saying.
So I plan on my first attempt in April so I can start Vitex in February and take it the whole two months and that would be fine? Also then I can start takeing SP only 6 weeks priar to my first attempt? Is that correct? Thx for your help I'm just trying to understand this stuff correctly.Last edited by wannagirl21; November 9th, 2012 at 01:29 PM.
