rephresh earlier than 12 hours before bd.........

anyone use rephresh a couple hours before bd and still get prego(1/2 applicator)???

I looked through the stats quick and two people used it about 10 hrs before BD (more than one attempt) and one person used 1/4 tube hr before BD but they only had one attempt. I did see one person used 1/4 tube Aci-jel 7 hrs before BD with only one attempt. It seemed most women used it at night and had sex in the morning or used it the day before they had sex. When were you thinking about using it? If your not in a hurry, you could always try it and if you don't get pregnant drop it the next month or use it farther away from the time your going to BD. However, that means another month on the diet so I guess it really depends how important using Rephresh is to you. So many options UGH lol!!!!

I was using around every 3 days since af ended. I was about to use it and thought I should test first and sure enough digi came up postive. I freaked and used a lil bit and then waited an hour before bd. I knew I was supposed to wait 12 hours but I don't know why?? Does it kill the sperm if used too soon?? I got in another attempt this morning(12hour since used rephresh) jic the rephresh was too much.

I think it can kill off some of the sperm kinda like spermicide (I remember reading this on a thread on here somewhere) but I'm sure if you used just a little bit it would be ok. People have gotten pregnant before using spermicide and I have heard about many women getting pregnant using tons of lime and acijel so it's definitely possible. Plus if you caught the being surge on your positive OPK, it means you likely wouldn't have ovulated until today which is good since you got in another attempt this morning. I think you are good to go

yay weird they wouldn't put that info on the packet if it did work like a spermicide. it says it is ok to use before and after sex. you'd think they would test it for that.

Hmm, I never used rephresh before but that's interesting it says it's ok to use before sex. I'm assuming that's for people not TTC? You could always do another attempt if your nervous but I think it's good you got that attempt in this morning. Of course there's always a chance you wouldn't get pregnant even if you didn't use the Rephresh so just try to stay positive and not worry

yep says ok to use before and after sex and best to use after not during period. I think it would have to say something about not using while ttc or that it's acts as a spermicide since it is something that would be used daily by women. now I have to google search lol

    Is RepHresh a contraceptive?

No. RepHresh contains no spermicides and should not be used as a form of contraception.

It's because it's less reliable than spermicide, it's not meant as spermicide or marketed that way, and has not been tested for that purpose. (costs the company $$$)

The purpose of RepHresh is NOT birth control or swaying, it's for people who have problems with yeast and BV which flares up when they have intercourse. They're not trying to be sperm friendly or sperm unfriendly, they're trying to bring pH down to keep microorganisms from reproducing.

RepHresh IS NOT a contraceptive but is still harmful to sperm. Just like KY Jelly, Astroglide, and even human saliva.
