Yup... once I stopped being able to squeeze milk out of my nipples..it drove me NUTS to nurse ds#2 .. I barely let him do it now. Just for comfort because I love him so much lol.. but I can't stand it for long! Sometimes they just ache and I tell him no.

Ds2 has been wanting to nurse lately like a newborn and if I don't let him he puts his face in his hands and bursts into tears , it's so pitiful. Needless to say he's been getting a lot of lollipops instead of nursing lol

I'll try the lemon drops thanks!

I have ridiculously sensitive nipples at all times. My bra rubbing the wrong way drives me bonkers. It's actually even connected to rage for me. I am not a huge fan of breastfeeding because of it, I still try to do it though but they are never older than a few months when I stop making milk all together anyhow. I am shuttering just thinking about it....ick

Oh Mrs P I hope you're psychic! I have my scan on Monday morning so will hopefully find out then, I'm so nervous! xx

Cinss - oh no! Kids huh?! My ds1 cut a big chunk out of his hair at the front a month or so ago and it too us forever to cut his hair so it wasn't so noticeable. Of course it had to be just a few days before his nursery photographs!
I would cut it all shorter and get her a nice hat to wear, you may find it grows back thicker and hopefully it won't take long to get to a nice length. Otherwise she will have to write a nice letter to Santa asking for lovely long hair! xx

    Oh no cinns
Try not to despair, if her hair is quite fine then it might be better for her hair long term if you do clip it short and start from scratch, some say its an old wives tale, others swear by it, but many people do clip young baby girls hair to strengthen and thicken it long term.
I have seen it done twice (they were both under 18m but can't remember exactly) they both clipped their girls hair twice, and it DID end up growing back noticeably thicker.
Another home remedy for increased hair growth - and one that I can personally vouch for - is caster oil, a couple of drops on your finger tips and massage it into the scalp. I've used this on myself many times and there is a noticeable difference in the speed of growth, have a google there's lots of info on the net about it. (Also works wonders for eyelashes, put a drop on a cotton bud and wipe over the top of your lash line and watch those lashes grow sky high)
Good luck, and don't worry, you'll laugh about this one day

Thanks guys, i am over the shock of it now, i am just going to take her to the hairdresser to see what they can do, it is kind of funny now because it looks like a mullet, and she is very proud of her handy work, i spent the afternoon cutting paper with her, because THAT is what we use scissors for at home

Hi ladies, hope everyone is well? Not posting much these days (i guess I feel bad as so many of you have heard boy I don't want to rub my dd in anyone's face iykwim?) but I'm always on here catching up with you all

Cinss, oh dear she is a little monkey ds2 had super fine hair that just took forever to grow, my hair dresser suggested trimming it to help thicken it up and it really worked he has super thick hair now that grows far to fast! Fx your dds grows bk quickly to....she's still a little beauty though!

Mummy I'm really thinking pink for u hun, hope your feeling ok I remember what the last few days b4 the BIG scan feels like!

As for me I'm doing ok....had a scare on the wkend tho I started spotting and I was getting tummy tightenings it was so uncomfortable I rang midwife who suggested I rest for a couple of hrs with a pad on to see how the spotting went then to call bk so they could decide if I needed to be seen, luckily it stopped but my tummy still felt uncomfortable, midwife told me to just rest which I have and fx I feel ok today! Was very scary though....I never had any probs with my first to Barr abit of early spotting but this pregnancy has been hard work with the sickness, tiredness now this and I'm also getting horrible pain between my legs down there has any1 else ever experienced this? I'm so worried this time its horrible just want to be 37wks and to have her here now!

For the record, this is exactly how I feel too.

You ladies are so wonderful and strong, and I'm sorry things didn't work out.

So to you all, and I will check in periodically in on you all!
