I have never done the baking soda test but when I was PG with DS3 we did the red cabbage test and apart from making my whole house and laundry smell of cabbage it was completely useless. One minute it said girl, next pee it said boy. Then we were testing DH for fun. There were cups of cabbage piss everywhere lol.

LOL that's hilarious!! Ick cabbage! I tried to get DH to do thr baling soda to see what happens hahah

Hi, ladies. Sorry I haven't been very chatty lately...I feel so horrible this pregnancy, much worse than my other two. Hopefully this will pass soon.

Anyway, glad to see that everyone is doing pretty well, yucky feelings aside. I have a question though. Is anyone showing a little bit yet? Any kind of tiny bump at all? The reason I'm asking is because, with this being my third pregnancy and it also being twins, I thought for sure I'd be showing by now (almost 10 weeks), at least a little bit. But I'm totally not. You can tell that I'm very bloated and kind of "thick" looking in the middle, and you can tell that I've put on a few pounds, but I most definitely don't have any kind of bump. It makes me a tiny bit worried that the babies aren't growing or something, but I suppose it's still early. Just wondering what you girls are experiencing...

Hi sweetpea, I haven't been on the forum for some days now and only reading this now. I'm also 10wks 3days and I have just posted to a friend telling her the same concern like yours. I'm also not showing yet...and I so much thought that I would show quite early in the beginning. I put up some 3kilos almost immediately and now it seems I'm not growing anymore. I don't have a bump yet either and like you I'm starting to get worried. I still have nausea and I'm exhausted every day. Food and everything else really smell bad so still having pregnancy symptoms. But honestly I can't wait to go for my scan next week on Friday. Can't wait to see baby moving and at the same time I'm afraid to go, I'm afraid something went wrong since my last ultrasound It's kind of reassuring though reading your post. I just have to continue reading if there were any updates from your post. Hope our babies are all growing fine!

I am super excited because I found a place that does early gender assessments (14 weeks), it is a bit of a drive away from me lol but I have finally convinced DH to take the road trip and so we will find out the gender on December 6th now - Instead of waiting until January 3rd!! I am so excited because it seems so soon!!! LESS THEN A MONTH! I am going to pray every night that baby cooperates and let's us see HER baby nubbins hehehe

Argh, today I met a woman who is 4 months pregnant and she literally has no bump at all, I look like I am 6 months pregnant or something over here lol it was embarrassing when she asked and I had to say I am only 11 weeks along, and like quadruple her tummy size. I am petite and it's all in my tummy, I know with your second you obviously show faster but still. Kinda got me feeling a little down especially after my doctor was all concerned about the "6lbs" I gained. Pfft.

CVD don't let it get to you honey. I gained like 8 pounds or so already and when I went for my first visit the midwife gave me the nutrition and weight gain lecture. I say Pfft too, lol. Pfft to all of em! I am sure it will level out now that I can't stand to eat because of the nausea. This morning I ate a graham cracker and sliced pickles. I'm sure no weight gain there. For lunch I am having baked chicken, white rice, and a salad. And of course...water, water, water...even though it makes me nauseous. Which reminds me...I need to go post my belly pic for this week.

Thank you so much everyone for all your well wishes yesterday. It's so touching How kind everyone is on here.
I'm so glad that everything is ok and apart from a few minor injuries and feeling a bit stupid, not to mention clumsy I was really lucky.

Babys heart rate was 182 bpm. Not that I believe in the heart rate gender theory but is this fast or slow?

3boys thanks and so glad to hear that everything is just fine with the baby! Yes my baby bear is cooking away in there. I believe the theory goes high hr over 140 = girls and low hr under 140= boys. Two scientific studies dispel the myth however. There is no real correlation between hr and gender. But it is all in fun. My little boy always had a hr on the lower side so the myth was true for him, lol. This little one's hr was 156.

Hi guys just a quick update as I need my bed. Baby is fine thank God!
Im a bit battered and bruised, managed to sprain my wrist and I have a Fred flintstone bump on my head. doctors said I am suffering from minor concussion (but to be honest it's just a head ache, I was being sick anyway lol). I'm ok just ache from head to toe.
So Glad baby is ok. I just cried the whole time I was there as i was so worried and the doctors seemed more concerned about me than the baby I could have hit em ha ha.

So glad the baby is fine. Sorry to hear you are bruised etc...hope you get better soon!

Ladies,

I had my first u/s today at 6 wks + 4, looking good. One baby only! I had eggs released from both ovaries, so not sure which egg was fertilised.. Heart rate was 129...
