So I've just finished my first cycle on lime douche, diet and antihistamines.
Unsurprisingly, I haven't fallen pregnant. My main feeling is that the lime douche just made me so dry. At nearly 36, I'm quite keen for this to happen reasonably quickly, so this month I'm planning to drop the lime.
I'm thinking about rephresh again, as there is so much positivity towards it. I haven't included it so far in my sway. The reason being that I tried it before, used 1 applicator and I found it really hard to take a ph reading. It also just made my cm like cottage cheese, which put me off. I also use cm to track when I ovulate, don't track my temperature, so do need my cm, to know when I am about to ovulate.
I guess my question is: if I take rephresh this month, straight after af, will there be enough time for me to assess its ph affect? Or should I just leave it out totally?
Any thoughts or experiences appreciated so much. Thank you.

I think your are probably right about the lime. I think it's a good plan to drop it. I'm sure it is irritating to the vagina and probably killed off a lot of sperm. There are some studies out there (done on women in Africa who use it as a douche) that link using lime douche to higher rate of infections, vaginal irritation, and even cervical cancer. Of course these women are using it for years but I think it's better not to risk it.
I think rephresh is a good choice. It is buffered to regulate your ph to 4-4.5 so testing would not even be necessary. I think it's a good idea to start it right after AF this way your body will get use to it and most likely not raise your pH. They say that the funky discharge just happens the first time or two then goes away. Here's what the website says-
Some women may notice a residue after use of RepHresh—this is caused by the elimination of dry vaginal cells. Your body naturally sheds dry vaginal tissue that has built up over time. RepHresh helps this happen, leaving softer, suppler tissue behind. When used on a regular basis, RepHresh will help prevent the buildup of dried skin cells and the discharge should become less. If the discharge does not become less, you may want to wait an extra day or two between applications.
You use rephresh every 3 days so maybe once your body is use to it your cm will be back to normal. If not could you use OPK testers and/ or temping instead? Good luck and pink dust for your try this monthJames 08/10

The cancer thing is cause the lime stops your bodies natural methods at keeping bad cells at bay and would be more likely with long term use.
Rephresh will affect your cm, i used it for 2 months and it never got better, it was still weird. However, you should be able to tell ewcm but the lack therefore if your using the rephresh is a good thing - you want little to no ewcm to say pink, just don't use the rephresh right on dtd. I always did mine in the am so at least 10 hours between application and dtd.
i didn't temp but used opk's and didn't struggle to find o with it. I didn't take a ph reading though

Thank you for posting, really useful thank you.
I think I'm going to go for it. I have got opk's so that is something I will use regularly.
I was just a little nervous as I had read that it has increased some ph for some. But I think I tend to ovulate on around day 22-25, so I've got 15 ish days between af finishing and ovulation.
I am going to start it straight after af finishes. I'd better do some more reading up to make sure I use it properly.
Thanks again.

Well, everyone already gave such great answers so I won't go over it all again, but I did want to mention that RepHresh straight after AF is not going to tell you anything because you need to know your pH at ovulation (IF, that is, pH even really makes a big difference anyway).
If you don't like it, then don't use it. I got my DD without any jellies (I did try both Replens and spermicide residue early on but dropped it after a couple months BFN)!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

Don't know if this is any use to you as I never checked ph at all but I did use rephresh once every 3 days (as on the box) from cd10 to cd18 (when I ovulated) and took my temperature to help determine ovulation and am 24 1/2 weeks pregnant with a baby girl. It was my first month swaying (2nd month ttc after m/c)so not sure if it was the reason for my girl but I personally think it may have helped as I did very little else to sway and already have two boys.

Not sure when to use rephresh
I'm TTC Girl, didn't happen last cycle. I'm on CD12 and I ovulate typically around CD20-21. I'm on the LE diet, and taking Ca and Mg. Lime douche didn't like so just bought RepHresh. I was thinking of taking it tonight, but then do i take it on CD 16 and again on CD 20? or skip a day and do CD 17 and CD 20?
We are also DTD every night up through a 2 day cut-off because 3-4 didn't work. So if it's a two day cut off and I have a OPK+ on CD20 and 21, would I stop on CD 18 or 19?
Any and all help would be great. Thanks so much
