    Big Smile Antihistamine Q's

ok so here in NZ we cannot get some of the things as easily as USA. Also some of the names of antihistamines are different as in benadryl in NZ is a cough mixture not the same as USA.
My Q is, is diphenhydramine the same as promethazine brand name aller-sooth or another one, phenergan? i am so confused about the best things to use to dry me up lol, i tend to have LOTS of ewcm and it starts up to 10 days before O. Some UK ladies may find the same problem.
The other thing i have trouble with are foods and what our equal would be?? just as well i have time to figure this all out
    responses would be greatly appreciated

I realise that you are in NZ and this might be not helpful at all to you, but maybe some of the products are available in NZ too?

We do have different brand names in the uk but the active ingrediant is the same - both bendadryl and zirtek (as its spelt over here) contain ceterizine - diphendramine is found in night aid (sleeping pills as its not long used in antihistamines due to the drousyness it causes). As far as i know you need to look for the active ingrediants as some of the others may sway blue but hopefully atomic will post and let you know if there are anyothers that are ok to

Otherwise - maybe try ebay or amazon - i had to ship a lot of the supplements as they weren't available in the uk in same strengths etc

ohh dear lol. I tried Benadryl Chesty forte cough syrup the other night as a test.I thought it was what were supposed to use hahahah feel like a goose . It worked really well at drying up my cm, it was still there but different wasn't ewcm it was heaps thicker (sorry eww) I was so excited as the Zyrtec did not do anything. That was the night before. :/ I wonder if its ok? I have the bottle sitting here.

Ok I have looked it up myself and thought I would put what I found! Benadrylsin Chesty forte contains Guaiphen 100mg and Bromhexine Hydrochloride 3mg. It honestly worked really well for me. The Guaiphen I saw on here was ok but I couldn't find anything on the Bromheine Hydrochloride. Hoping Atomic tunes into this thread to see if she knows <3!!!. Honestly I would be comfortable taking the cough syrup it was so good!!!

You do not want that kind since it contains guaifenesin which sways blue because it helps to increase egg white (stretchy) cervical mucus. Can you get one with just diphenhydramine or cetirizine by itself?

MrsP - could I ask what antihistamines have you bought? I too am from the UK, and using Zirtek, but now thinking it might not be a high enough dose. Any information you have would be appreciated, as I did still have EWCM last cycle, even with taking Zirtek. Thanks so much.

Just look for the names cetirizine and diphenhydramine - those are good antihistamines to take.
