Its really quite good because the kids have their big school holidays when its summer so there is always lots we can do, like go to the beach and theme parks etc, we are always eating outside having bbqs over Xmas too, lots of swims and all the summer fruits become available so we have such good variety for xmas meals, usually mangoes, cherries, watermelon and our family always has prawns, not so much hot meals because it is so hot.

I would probably cry without my Christmas ham! I LOVE my ham and mashed potatoes!
It would be nice to have it warm enough to play outside though. Sometimes it is so cold and snowy we don't get to go everywhere we need to for holidays. It can certainly put a damper on things.DS 12008

Lol we are in the states (Texas) and here we have our ham and mashed potatoes, but we're usually wearing flip flops and shorts and running the ac. In fact, we had thanksgiving dinner #2 of 3 today, and we're running the ac! It's supposed to be in the high 60s tomorrow and the kids are excited because it will almost feel like fall. I wish we had seasons!

oh Shell, I hope it cools down for you. I really despise hot weather but I also dislike the bitter cold. I wish I could live some place where it is 60 degrees and partly sunny most days with awesome thunderstorms at least every other week, haha.

Id love to see a white christmas one day but I do love the bbq weather, it is my favourite time of year
The only thing Im not looking forward to is the fact that I cant eat any of it this year as it's usually cold prawns, cold ham off the bone, etc etc.. I guess my traditional boxing day lunch of potato salad & l/over ham will need to be warmed up this year
Ooooh Xmas!!!! I'll be half way by then (well almost) exciting!!!
